There are no digital nomad, hipster or tourist in Casablanca as the city is ugly, dirty and unsafe with heavy traffic. This is why I choose this place.

Old San Juan's architecture is lovely. Although it's as pricey as a US mainland city, the food is good and the coffee is excellent. Locals can vary in friendliness quite a bit -- although being brusque with someone from the US mainland is entirely understandable. Uber works perfectly well. The museums have very inexpensive admissions fees. All in all, a good destination for a shorter (3 weeks or less) trip. But not a place with a digital nomad community or lots of cultural activities.

I don't know exactly how Barcelona is still considered safe but it's far from it. It's probably the most dangerous city to live in Madrid and one of the most dangerous in europe, with constant pick-pocketing and even violent crimes to get your wallet and phone in certain areas. If you like a peaceful life, Barcelona is not the place anymore!!

Let's start with the trash - it is everywhere and no one seems to care. Even in the expensive barrios of multi-million dollar houses, you will see it. Sidewalks are dilapidated and the vegetation in public areas is overgrown - trees are left unchecked many of which overgrow into overhead power cables, or their roots tear up the street. "Ciudad Vieja", the old part of Montevideo could've been nice, but Uruguayans stopped caring about it a long time ago. Now it's just ugly and depressing. Tap wate

Decent city, mainly because the people are so kind. But, it is a pain to get cash (spent a few hours every couple weeks trying Western Union after WU and never finding one with enough cash), and a lot of places don't take cards/the current exchange rate is a ripoff. However, BRING REPELLENT. The place is littered with mosquitos, and my partner and I both contracted dengue. He ended up in the hospital, and it was not a blast. The food here is excellent. Bolivians call it food capital of the country. Food is also cheap. Not a lot of variety, but it's good, and they care. Otherwise, a nice city. But not a place for nomads as far as I can tell. Nobody speaks English

I stayed one month (28 male) in La Paz and during this time I worked in Selina Cowork. No problem with INTERNET, both at home and Selina I've had at least 20 mb/s on WiFi connection. Personal Rating: 2/5 As a nomad kiteboarder, I spent 2 weeks in Cartagena just to work and enjoy the sunsets on the water. On the positive side, the city provides affordable accommodation options and a decent food scene with noteworthy restaurants like Celele or bars like Alquimico. The city's nightlife boasts lively bars and rooftop venues, and the sunsets are truly beautiful. However, prostitution and sex tourism is really to much and to present, which may be uncomfortable for some visitors.
