Hey there, Iโ€™m Christen. Iโ€™m a single 44-year-old gal with no kiddos or pets who, after hustling to build a life I thought I was supposed to have, I found myself trapped in a tower of stuff working hard to maintain a life I didn't want.
โ€‹
Frustrated and scared by my lack of motivation, physically and emotionally exhausted from trying to keep my life afloat while building a business I didn't see wanting long-term, and with no corporate safety net (I had quit my corporate job 2 years prior to pursue building my own business), I found myself daily crying out to God for answers.
โ€‹
He answered me with a fella who had slid into my DMโ€™s who happened to be traveling to the world and loving it. He was the one who gave me vision that I could live my life differently.
โ€‹
My biggest concern was โ€˜could I afford itโ€™. Funny enough, it turns out the cost to travel to a new country every three months was going to be about 35% less than living in Orlando. I had already been working on downsizing and simplifying my possessions & expenses so I could have some creative breathing room. So, it felt like the perfect time to restart by letting go of โ€˜what had beenโ€™ and take on the challenge of whittling down to only what would fit in a backpack.
โ€‹
And thatโ€™s where you find me now. In the midst of this new adventure where Iโ€™m venturing to exotic lands, confronting fears, becoming less binary, jumping off cliffs, kissing boys, trying a lot of new food, drink, culture, and meeting amazing people along the way.

Well, SEVILLE is definitely my favourite city from the ANDALUSIAN region of SPAIN. The old town, the buildings and the view from outside is quite marvelous. It has a typical imperial feeling when you walk over there, or maybe I was too drunk. :) For nomads, it might be the place where you can stay for a longer period of time.

  • Istanbul

I spent one year in Istanbul and it's absolutely amazing. The city is really safe, I went back home really late during the night, walking, without any problem. Parties are really fun and there are all kinds of spots to have fun (bars, nightclubs, restaurants...). The city has a lot of cafรฉs to work at and most of them have free and reliable wifi. Definitely recommend!

  • Porto

I have been living in Porto since September. Portugal is currently in a hard covid lockdown so Porto is not at its best. But in better times the city is amazing. Beautiful, right near the beach, with excellent air and rail connectivity. English is widely spoken and the accommodations for visitors are diverse and excellent. Restaurants are also diverse and excellent. Prices for those used to northern Europe or USA will seem low. December, January are very rainy and can get cold, down to nearly 0

  • Split

Split is a very pleasant town. You have Roman ruins, clear Adriatic waters, ferries to Hvar and other islands. Places to stay are affordable, food is medium priced. English is pretty commonly spoken. You can explore the town in about two days, but it seems a very pleasant place to live (Iโ€™ve been here 2 weeks & plan to stay for 2 months).

Tbilisi is a beautiful place to be at. It is really cheap and nice. People are warm and welcoming, even though they are more friendly in the villages. It is a really cool place with many shops to buy things at that is well located. Also, you can get pretty quickly to nature.
