The other reviews are rightโit's a good city with excellent value for money. The people are nice enough. The infrastructure is good. Budapest was on my list about cities for living. I stayed for 7 days and was a little disappointed People are not very friendly, lots os places very dirty, people smoke a lot and the costs isn't affordable as people indicated here. Its a beautiful place, walkable, people have a good level of education, lots of things to do, but not as i imagined. Even so its a nice place.

Lived in Prague for 8 years. It's a beautiful international European city. Never learned Czech, but was fine. Almost all cafes and restaurants have English menus. I don't know exactly how Barcelona is still considered safe but it's far from it. It's probably the most dangerous city to live in Madrid and one of the most dangerous in europe, with constant pick-pocketing and even violent crimes to get your wallet and phone in certain areas. It used to be a nice city for nomads, but its out-priced now and don't recommend it. I am a single female- remote worker from USA with residence permit of 2 years and have to say its not what it used to be. Stormy tropical weather as we speak so unpredictable these days. Landlords charging ridiculous prices and amenities just don't match quality that should be given. Looking into Spain as we speak..

Playa has been really good to me. The digital nomad community (at least over my winter stay) has been INCREDIBLE. Join the Facebook groups, find the WhatsApp groups - itโs so easy to meet others. The beach is ok, seaweed isnโt as bad in winter but itโs very visible and does smell. It rarely kills my beach day. I spent a month here. I think it's a livable city but I don't know the value of living here long-term compared to other cities in LatAm. Pros: - Great bar and restaurant scene. Coffee shops are really chill. Service is really good for the most part, but everyone is too cool to be friendly (hipsters). - It doesn't feel too unsafe, especially if you're not out late at night. Thessaloniki is a city spread over the hills by the side of the Aegean. A cultural crossroads since Byzantine times, it has amazing cuisine and is full of reasonably priced tavernas and restaurants. Full of neo-classical buildings, there are lots of great living options available close to the city center and beyond. The pace of life is stately or as locals call it "hallarah" and most are not in a rush. There is a nice film festival in the Fall and many other public celebrations.

I came to Las Palmas Gran Canaria two years ago as a digital nomad and now have my home base there. Valencia is just a paradise on earth, and you realise it when you feel so blessed just walking around in this vibrant yet calm, small yet big city. The parks, the activities, the beaches everything is accessible and affordable. Life is simple here and you do not need much to have a nice life, we all do the same things. Ko Samui is an amazing place, I don't agree at all with the CON's. I am a Thai-American and have lived all over Thailand. Ko Samui is my favorite.
