This city is not for everyone, if you like shopping malls and big crowded cities it is for you. It may be cheap but if you want to live in a good location with swimming pool, go to nice rooftops and restaurants, use taxis then it is similar cost to western countries. In many areas there are no sidewalks, big and dangerous traffic all the time, pollution, taxis do not want to go with meter, it can get really hot. Definitely try to live by the metro. Many foreigners, mostly friendly people, cheap

The other reviews are right—it's a good city with excellent value for money. The people are nice enough. The infrastructure is good. You *should* like it, but you don't—it's incredibly, incomprehensibly boring. The vibe is aggressively lukewarm. You will find more excitement in a rural Japanese village than here—I'm not joking.

I have spend a few days in Da Nang in January and its one of the only cities in Vietnam, I absolutely couldnt find aything positive about. It felt dead to me. Almost no people there and it feels like the city doesnt have a soul. I would even go so far to say the city is the only place in Asia that made me feel unformfortable. Cant recommend it. Furthermore i got a food poisoning there. So the overall experience wasnt good.

I came to Las Palmas Gran Canaria two years ago as a digital nomad and now have my home base there. Occasionally I still travel, especially during the summer because the digital nomad community is less active during that time and it is too hot for me personally. I live in Timisoara since 2 years. It's a good place , very cheep and quiet. during summer this year a lot of festivals and cultural events. I love the weither, cold in winter but not so munch just under zero degré like minus 5 maybe 1 week or two, and very hot in July. A lot of sun anyway all the year. The food is excellent . And people are very kind and open to help you if you ask them. The nature is beautiful just 1 hour driving and the mountain are amazing, hotel confortable and very cheap

City was cheap and pretty but there's not that many cafes to work from, plenty of tourists and it was hard to make friends. If you go here make sure to rent a motorbike and check out the nature but there are better places to live at in Vietnam.

My best place to work in LONELINESS(that's an important remark) ever! Just 300 meters from the main street – you will find secluded guesthouses and small local resorts, which are completely quiet and peaceful. Fast internet. And almost nothing to do :) which is prefect to finish important projects. Highly recommended for that purpose. No one will distract you from your task. That's quite cool. And still.. you have jungles, beautiful scenery, beautiful sea 5 minutes from your place(!), amazing

One of the most beautiful islands I've ever been to (been to a lot) But, for vacation. For living there, there is just not so much to do.
