This is an algorithmic recommendation based on @leokewitz's trips history to find places they haven't been to yet that other people with similar travels also went and liked.
A dystopian cyberpunk metropolis, a veritable Night City, both chaotic and well run, livable yet poisonous. Follow the classic advice: stay near the BTS, skyscraper condo, work from mall libraries, cafes, and commons, donโt be outside. Outsource your chores. On a western salary or with savings, youโll be playing life on easy mode. Focus your energy on meeting people, honing your body, and learning new skills. Thereโs a reason itโs number 1. You can disagree, but try to find it.

Now, it seems you get the dollar blue exchange rate by using a credit card, so as long as you have a credit card that doesn't charge fees, it will be as cheap if not cheaper than paying in cash for things. Changing money is no hassle if you use the cuevas, and have clean 100 dollar bills for the best exchange rate. In most neighbourhoods you have the feeling of living in a small town instead of an urban area. There's aways something to do or see so it's hard to be bored living here. An awesome city full of gorgeous greenery/flowers (check it out during the flower fest) and beautiful women. People are down to earth and has a big reggaeton scene (some of the big worldwide artists from here). International food has been improving as it solidifies as a foreigner vacation spot. Been coming to medellin for like 7 years mainly for vacations, while weather is good (spring like) i prefer a bit colder myself. Everything is cheap, and colombians in general are friendly and welcoming.

I stayed one month (28 male) in La Paz and during this time I worked in Selina Cowork. No problem with INTERNET, both at home and Selina I've had at least 20 mb/s on WiFi connection. I felt very SAFE compared to other latam countries, the city is very calm and also CHEAP. Bolivians from La Paz are very nice people, a bit more reserved but I was able to make friends anyway. The country is in a time of political and civil unrest, with mass protests closing down airports, train stations, and roads since early December 2022 (it is now mid January 2023). Tourists have had to be evacuated. The train to Machu Picchu is indefinitely closed until further notice. 48 people have died in the conflicts so far. Peru, and Cusco in particular, is a beautiful place with amazing things to see - but right now is not the time to visit.

However, prostitution and sex tourism is really to much and to present, which may be uncomfortable for some visitors.
