I don't know why some people here are so negative about Lisboa. It's far from the level the level of dirt as described. Only the area of barrio alto and pink street have some dealers, but they don't bother you and aren't aggressive. Lack of heating is something I have heard, however should be easy enough to buy a radiator. Besides Lisboa doesn't really get that cold, compared to other European cities. The climate is very pleasant for most of the year. A real con would be that the historic centr

Lived there for 6 months. Incredibly "tough" city. Everything is concrete or dirt. Still has a Soviet vibe in 2020. One main street in the city center is vibrant and modern, but head one metro stop in any direction and its 1982 all over again. Almost no English, even with young people. Russian is preferred language even through there is a very strong anti-Russia/anti-Putin sentiment in the city, and rightfully so. However, all the street names and landmarks are in Ukrainian, so you need to mix t

Pros: * Very clean - lots of hand sanitisation places and people wear masks + streets are clean * Great, cheap public transport * Very beautiful city and good parks * Pretty good Italian and asian food Cons: * Coffee shops seem to have mostly gone and been replaced with lots of Starbucks and other chains. * Food / drinks is very expensive in most parts - Local beer is quite cheap though * Barely any night life to speak of - everything closes at 11pm Other Info: COVID restrictions are very stri

Berlin is overall a great city to be. Food is cheap and everywhere, easy to go out and have fun/meet for business. Rent has crept up but still far better value than where I came from. Internet: 36 EUR/month get me 450/40 mbps (cable -> DOCSIS 3.0) Public transport is 2.70 EUR/ticket. No woman I know has said they felt unsafe. Some really odd, xenophobic sounding comments on here. Biggest downsides IMO: service quality at restaurants - not that people are rude, but they don't seem to particular

I stayed here for 4 months. Very beautiful city, vibrant, lots of things to do and moving around is so easy compared to other "big" capitals. 100% agree with other comments about Hungarians: very stern, unfriendly people. The hospitality workers in restaurants, bars & clubs are mostly horrendous. It's like they don't want to serve you, and it's you who has to make the effort or should be grateful to be eating there. It makes zero sense, I've never seen that in any other place in the world. Bounc

Kyiv is a seriously not a good place for nomads to stay in. People don't speak english and are not friendly to foreigners at all, either you're white, asian, black, arab, latino, whatever. Food isn't really good specially when it comes to delivery, expensive and tasteless. The metro is cheap which is a good thing, and there is a nice architecture and places to go to.

It is a really nice city, as a resort, it has really cool vibe going on and the overall impression that it is a lively city, especially in the summer. The old town is really beautiful, the nightlife is also great. Can't remember the last time I had such a good nightlife experience, the bars and clubs are at a high level. Overall everyday people are friendly and nice to talk, however, about 50 percent don't speak English. I was lucky that I know some Russian, in some places which are highly rated

Didn't plan to come to Zagreb, and so had no expectations. Turned out to be a lovely, liveable city, so much so that I extended my stay by several weeks! Contrary to some of the comments from a year ago, it is now very vegan friendly, cards are universally accepted, steady WiFi si abundant, and many other people are working from coffee shops. The city is very walkable, and more affordable than Split or Dubrovnik.

Pros; - Quiet, safe neighbourhood - Well stocked supermarkets - High speed broadband in my Airbnb - Very hot and sunny days in October / November - Cheap Taxis - Lots of hikes - Legal, cheap cannabis - Access to southern Tenerife for partying Cons; - English is not that great, but can get by. - High humidity and rainfall - Not great social scene - A lot of sub-par restaurants (I recommend 'Vulk' and anything south american) - Boring n
