I was born in Russia. At 14 moved to UK to study in local high school. Then at age 18 moved to Boston, USA to study at University. After graduation moved with my wife to New York area, where I'm currently residing and working as a software engineer.

I like to learn new thing and like to build new things. At some point want to either move to a fully remote location or to start travelling more often. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Drake Bay Airport

Costa Rica

Untouched by human, wildlife is amazing. Rough terrain, better to travel by 4x4.

  • New York City

I've lived in New York City - Brooklyn - for over 20 years. For visiting tourists, the best neighborhood to stay in is NOT Bushwick. Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Ft. Green or Brooklyn Heights is preferable. Plenty of good transportation in those areas - subway, buses or Uber. Easy access to beaches in Long Island and New Jersey. There's plenty to do in NYC. Great restaurants, Broadway plays (!), and in the summer you frequently can catch a free concert.

Moscow is a great city, especially for young and adult people. Many business here and a lot of fun. Cheap taxi. Very clean city. Online delivery 24-hours for everything! Great and cheap subway (metro). Many cultural experience, good and different food. Fast Internet and free wifi in most of public places.

I guess if you're a nomad this doesn't matter much, but the long-term job pickings here are slim and among the most underpaid for a US city. There seems to be a tacit rent floor that means you won't find a good deal on housing. A lot of people don't seem very invested in their interpersonal relationships here since their ties to the area are often transient.
