This city is not for everyone, if you like shopping malls and big crowded cities it is for you. It may be cheap but if you want to live in a good location with swimming pool, go to nice rooftops and restaurants, use taxis then it is similar cost to western countries. In many areas there are no sidewalks, big and dangerous traffic all the time, pollution, taxis do not want to go with meter, it can get really hot. Definitely try to live by the metro. The other reviews are rightโit's a good city with excellent value for money. The people are nice enough. The infrastructure is good. I lived in Krakรณw for 13 years. Before I was nomad I worked in Krakรณw from office, studied here. I see lots of reviews mention Stare Miasto. In fact biggest gem these days is Podgรณrze neighbourhood, for lots of locals and expats this is trending area now. Budapest was on my list about cities for living. I stayed for 7 days and was a little disappointed People are not very friendly, lots os places very dirty, people smoke a lot and the costs isn't affordable as people indicated here. Its a beautiful place, walkable, people have a good level of education, lots of things to do, but not as i imagined. Even so its a nice place.

Canโt recommend Ubud. Itโs just the same overdeveloped and overpriced mentally isolated tourist trap that is Canggu, just a bit worse. If you have never been anywhere else, it might be okay for 2 weeks, but to any seasoned traveller itโs a the type of place you dread.

Decent city, mainly because the people are so kind. But, it is a pain to get cash (spent a few hours every couple weeks trying Western Union after WU and never finding one with enough cash), and a lot of places don't take cards/the current exchange rate is a ripoff. Lived in Prague for 8 years. It's a beautiful international European city. Never learned Czech, but was fine. Almost all cafes and restaurants have English menus. I don't understand why London has so high safety rating. Your phone could be stolen and your bicycle WILL be stolen here (or a part of it). I live here 8.5 years and I experienced the above multiple times. Police seems only cares about crime against person by whatever reason. Insure everything expensive that you own. I would also add that antisocial behaviour is quite common here and teenagers are heavily involved in crimes as police don't do anything with them because of their age. Basically th

People move here because it is/was cheap. Period. There is nothing wrong with wanting affordable housing, but there is not much more to it. I'm so surprised to see all these comments. I absolutely love Jakarta ! You can take a gojek bike taxi for 1$ and they bring you anywhere. The skyline is beautiful at night. The food is good. The people are kind and always smiling... I prefer Jakarta to Bali ! And I've been multiple times in both. For sure it's a city with many skyscrapers, so the quality of the air is not great. Been there for an educational event. The architecture is great and there's a lot of history for those interested in exploring it. The city can be crowded with tourists though (I was there in July.) It's a great place for walking around in and doing a punting tour to learn about the colleges. Commerce tends to close very early, as well as the bars and clubs. I was not a big fan of the food and every place seemed overpriced.

Canggu has changed quite a lot. Inmigration treats tourist like shit. Congestion and traffic is a nightmare. Horrible Pollution. Been living here 2 years and I am def closing this chapter. All in, Austin is a good city. We live in Hill Country now so we're a bit removed. But it's beautiful area once you get away from the highways. A good tech scene. Not too expensive (~$2100 for a nice 2 bedroom apt) for the U.S. Has wineries and breweries galore. Not a great place if you are a recovering alcoholic (!). Cons: extremely hot in the summer; reaches 110 F (43.3 C) in summer afternoons from June - September. Not very diverse. Highways are loud and obnoxious.

Overall, highly recommnded for the fall/spring. Great weather, food, wines and hikes. There are really nice coffeshops (currently writing from one, "The coffee place"). Internet is Ok, but check the accommodation before. Right now there is a lot of anti-sentiment for Russia, so consider that if you're from there.

We really didn't enjoy being there. been there for 3 months, not such a good net and really boring. It's also really hot in the summer, restaurants are more of the same, most people there are 70+ years old and not many young people.
