This is an algorithmic recommendation based on @samoz93's trips history to find places they haven't been to yet that other people with similar travels also went and liked.

Very nice city, but as everyone says, a bit boring after awhile. It's comfortable and feels like the suburbs, with conveniences that you don't always find in SE Asian countries. Luxury shopping malls, excellent hospitals, and infrastructure, are all things that are not as common in other SE Asian countries, (although Bangkok, TH, has good malls and hospitals). KLCC is safe, from a solo female traveler, if you're careful. I stayed in the KLCC area and was advised by other KL nomads, to stay ins

Once you figure out housing (not an easy thing but doable, especially once you stop looking in the touristic areas), Lisbon is a very charming, safe (even though I'll admit this is getting worse in certain areas), and fun city to live in. In most neighbourhoods you have the feeling of living in a small town instead of an urban area. There's aways something to do or see so it's hard to be bored living here. I still find Lisbon (and Portugal in general), to be one of the most attractive places in

We used to live in Canggu back in 2017, it felt back then like the perfect balance between western development and local culture. You used to have enough cafรฉs and restaurants and stays were mainly affordable villas. Coming back in 2023 I have to say this place is unrecognizable. Only now I realize how much damage influencers did to Canggu, telling everyone to come here and invest and overdevelop with little to no regard to the local culture. Also the pandemic played its part, you used to nee

Pros: Weather is great and apartments are excellent. Cons: City is dirty including the beaches. Locals are extremely hostile, unfriendly and confrontational. There isn't a huge amount of good things to do in the city - most things are mediocre. People constantly bash into you in the street. Food and coffee is very average. Crime is awful - my apartment was broken into and my suitcase got stolen from the baggage belt at the airport. Air quality is terrible.

Stayed for 2 weeks after almost a year n a half in LatAm. Beautiful city; great food options- especially for Asian food lovers. Plenty of authentic Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese options for about 50% of what you would pay in a Western city. Decent hostels will cost $11-$15 weekdays and between $18-$30 on weekends.... Good internet; beautiful architecture and people but it is true Hungarians can be very cold at times. Overall a good stay with many destinations just a quick and cheap flight/tr

Tokyo has so much to offer and so much to do. It is easily overwhelming. Whereas I usually take my first week to explore a place Tokyoโs sights just kept on going. I remember ending up in a hidden cocktail bar, a mexican rooftop party with 1 meter margaritas, spending a whole day going only to French places(?), visiting a store that only imported 2nd hand hiphop apparel, and throughout it all the best michelin star ramen. It just seemed endless, completely unrelated and incredibly fun. Six wee

Hong Kong is a great city with dense urban areas but also nature and hiking routes only 15 minutes away. There are restaurants for every taste and budget, from the best US fast casual chains to high end Michelin star restaurants. It's also extremely safe, despite recent political instability.

I've been hanging out in Berlin on and off for 30 years. It is very safe for women. It is much friendlier than it used to be. There are loads of vegan restaurants now. The nightlife and specially jazz clubs are amazing! I have an excellent apartment to rent out in Wedding - which used to have a boring reputation but now is very cool.

I absolutely love Istanbul! My biggest recommendation would be to stay in Cihangir or Niลantaลฤฑ and avoid the main centre. Cihangir has so many beautiful cafes to work from and there are a lot of people working remotely so it's a really nice vibe. I agree with the comments about taxis, we just caught ubers but mostly walked everywhere which I would recommend. If you stay in Cihangir you can easily walk to Taxim square and through Galata. The food scene here is great once you know where to go

Antalya has been growing so much as a DN destination... There are events and meetups every day of the week. Most of them centered around Coworking Antalya. They solved the problem of inspiring workspace with their facilities right in the center of town with an extraordinary sea view. The great thing about Antalya as a destination is that you get it all: amenities of a big city (without the chaos of Istanbul), nature, culture, beaches, history, nightlife etc. Despite the heavy inflation, it's st

I've lived in ฤฐzmir for more than 10 years, so I have the need to say some things that may be valuable to one or the other. Izmir is the most liveable city in Turkey. It's less religious, (therefore) more open to foreigners and just more fun! We have a racism problem, but not against any European, or American. It's more about being associated with other muslim ethnicities like Arabs, Afghans etc. and also because many of these groups cause economic issues in the country - it's complicated. Abou

I spent a month in Tirana in February 2022 and then returned in October for a one-week stay. Generally, I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend Tirana. Here are my Pros and Cons: Pros: - Cheap: Airbnbs are cheap (especially on a monthly basis), food is very cheap (around a third of what you would pay in Germany) and still good quality (most of the time). - Walkable: The city center is pretty compact and everything can be reached on foot - Green: The city center has multiple parks around

Absolutely loved it! The largest old city in the country, great souvenir shopping (loads of cat themes, good quality, better souvenirs then Budva and other places), loads of real cats, breathtaking views, very friendly local people, everything is super close. Most streets are uphill, so be ready to get fit!

Super safe city, many things to do, good restaurants. Nightlife is great (especially Boho Bar) but it's not for everyone as locals like to stick to tables and don't socialize much. The city is very walkable.

Chiang Mai has had a deep Buddhist influence running over the last 1,000 years and this can be felt in the helpfulness, patience and generosity of the Thai and long-term transplants you come across. The city has an active community scene (nomads, spiritual seekers, hikers, creatives), several mountains with hiking spots and waterfalls surrounding the city, over 20 water bodies inside the city -- many have cafes and walks around, several public parks, and over 13 national parks with campgrounds w

I would be a bit careful with Pattaya, because the Police are cracking down on foreign illegal workers, Expessialy from Russia, and that can accidentally put a remote worker like me in the crossfire. That means that a digital nomad can be deported on a misunderstanding, because the police in Pattaya is not so used to deal with a digital nomads like they are in Phuket, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai, they put you in the same basket as illegally working Russians and out with you. Apart from that i would

Great for tourism, bad for living. The City has a fascinating contrast of old and new. You will never get bored, itโs easy to meet people and have fun. Infrastructure and food are great. Ko Samui is an amazing place, I don't agree at all with the CON's. I am a Thai-American and have lived all over Thailand. Ko Samui is my favorite. The people, culture and experience of Ko Samui is wonderful. The roads are dangerous usually due to tourists. Not the locals LOL! This will be changing with Thai law requiring drivers license's. Of course it is humid and sweaty, my goodness you are in the tropics, and April is the hottest month. I suggest researching the best times of year to visit t
