sorry for the super late answer, yea in the end I went to Mejore Beach Hotel which I can recommend.
the speed was great but sometimes unstable. I could easily switch to SIM card to cover those moments (Telkomsel had great reception)

There is a telegram group under BigTribeBali called CangguFindAHome (and a similarly named one for Ubud, and another for Uluwatu). There are also some facebook groups (and whatsap groups). I wouldn't rent anything you havent seen in person first, the bad places are pretty bad, and demand is extremely high right now. I'd suggest to reserve a hotel where near where you want to go and hit the ground running, visiting places, but others might have a differing opinion on that. Have cash you can exchange for the deposit, because the local ATM's will limit you to 3,000,000 IDR (about $200US) per session.

For laundry try ratna laundry just around the corner, about 10k/kilo for wash and fold.

I used random ATMs everywhere last year after getting annoyed at trying to find non-sketchy looking ATMs. I just roughly fucked with the ATMs for a few seconds to see if anything fell off or looked wrong. I had no issues.
