Seems Cambodia is not a popular destination for digital nomads now but does anyone know nice cafes to work in Kampot?
Hello there,
and again:
What website can I use to buy the travelling covid insurance?
Is there an specific insurance like they used to have in Thailand?
Regards
I didn't make it down there this spring, but these were in my notes from thinking about going, so they might help:
- Simple things cafe
- Eden eco bungalows

PS - post back what you find as I want to go there this fall/winter I think ๐Ÿ™‚
Thank you!
I will try them and post back:)
You don't need an insurance to enter to Cambodia.
I just showed my evisa and vaccinated certificate.
(I have safetywing for my insurance which also covers covid because I'm traveling for a long time)

I worked from Cafe Espresso Kampot. Decent wifi and tasty aussie style breakfast.
I spent 4 months in Kampot in 2020, plenty of chilled out places to work from

Simple Things is amazing -- great coffee, juices, you can plug your laptop and delicious vegetarian food
Cafe espresso roastery also has amazing coffee that they roast there, it's a bit hot due to that, but otherwise pretty great! Also delicious food

There's also this tiny place called the "Cafe Station" wherein you can sit all day and enjoy good coffee and The Easy Panda Kampot in the international village has good vibes too โ€” really quiet despite being primarily a hostel

There was a "Green Cafe" you could go to for Starbucks like vibes
Thank you ! I will take a look:)
Just came to Simple Things and the food is great! 2nd floor is closed now and the music is a bit loud to me when I have to have a call.
Thank you kvhfdkfu
cexdduczqkcl no problem! If you join safetywing, I can give you 15usd discount gift card:)

Hi everyone! Just arrived in Phnom Penh. Anything good to recommend? Coworking spaces, restaurants?
Suzy is a nice quiet cafe to work in, where you pay for time instead of per drink
Oh, thanks! Will try it.

Factory is a fantastic coworking space. On number 2 road. A bit of a drive from the usual popular places but itโ€™s worth it.

If you have a moto, go for a drive on the east coast. You can take a ferry there. Also the weirdest place to see is Diamond Island - reproductions of famous European landmarks like Parisโ€™s Arch of Triumph. Weird as hell but worth a look
Suzy Time Cafe's (there are 2 now) are great, and the cowork at Factory is nice, but not much of a community feel. The complex though is very cool and has some nice places to eat, so make sure you walk through it and explore it a bit. They did a really amazing job on it.

When I was there in the spring most of the other co-works were closed or doing private office only type things.

Here is a map list with some basic notes of restaurants etc that stood out:

Grab is super easy for getting around. Check the USD bills before accepting them.. don't take anything with a mark, bad fold or a tear in it.

Be careful using your phone on the street or in a tuk tuk - especially in busy areas or tourist areas, there are some drive by phone snatchers around. Mostly I felt safe, but there were a few times I opted to put it away, two hand hold it, or step a bit off to the side to use my phone. (Apple Watch is awesome for navigation prompts!) :slightly_smiling_face:

Enjoy yourself and report back on what you find!
If you need somewhere to work, iโ€™d highly recommend this cafe! It has the fastest wifi (~100mbps) iโ€™ve experienced in the city and a great ambience.
