I would like to try nomading in the train from Quebec City to Vancouver. Is the internet reliable ? I know that between Quebec City and Montreal, it's totally unusable but I could manage to work with 5G hubs.

I'm guessing in the mountains between Calgary and Vancouver it will be bad, even on mobile networks. You may also find some dead zones or spots where even if you're connected it's pretty hard to work in northern Ontario and Manitoba. I did a drive across country many years ago and this is what it was like but I expect it hasn't improved a ton.

From Montreal to Toronto the internet is bad as well. So I don't think it'd be a good experience if you need to be always connected. And especially, if you need to upload stuff.

i have great experience with KOHO, but they don't have a separate USD/CAD account. They do great conversion from CAD to anything though.

Rbc can do both can and us, but I wouldn't call them a good bank 😂 they have a fully separate us entity in Georgia. It's pretty much online only. When you login to your can or us account you can easily have them linked to each other.

Hi guys, is Swoop Airlines trustworthy for domestic flights in Canada, or is there some shenanigans I should know about before booking a flight with them?

Nothing shady, we fly swoop all the time. You can also try flair. They’re the other budget airline

Both Flair and Swoop have much less planes then WestJet/Air Canada, so sometimes when theres mechanical issues instead of being delayed a few hours you're delayed days.

That's my only warning! They're a perfectly fine airline, just don't want to use them for something you REALLY need to be on time for

RBC is fine, but CIBC is the only bank that has ever sent me my new debit card from Ontario to Vietnam. Will never forget it. CIBC is great

I bank with TD and RBC for CAD/USD. RBC is terrible and recommend TD over them. TD also have TD Bank in the states and they can open US-based accounts and link them to Canadia-based accounts. Milage may vary though, everyone seems to have different experiences with the big banks.

When I head back home later this year I'm opening my USA bank account with RBC
