Gracias qwieiqed I ended up staying at Zone 10, close to oakland mall. It was perfect for a short stay and good to have the mall to exchange money and buy a sim card. Thanks a lot for sharing all the info!

how about zone 4? I plan to jog there in the morning. is it safe?

pnladnuu just in general Guatemala is really awkward to run in... the sidewalks are not great.

Areas in z4 are fine to run in. Quo and 4 Grados, but it is not a large area, and doesn't have a good surface to run.

I would go to the gym but never run, so can't give too much advice here.
