Hi

are you still here?
pikemdcaptfi2mo
I'm in Arequipa for a few days. Who wants to connect?

Anyone spent time in Miraflores?
gqedrlpgzdzezc2mo
I little bit. Found it very walkable.

Favorite place to nomad in S. America?
aukpjobpebmmsg2mo
This was in my pre-nomading days, but I would definitely target that neighborhood for Lima if we were to stay a while. Also Cuenca, Ecuador.
imqyyoiuw2mo
I liked Barranco a bit more than Miraflores. If you can get an apartment near the border of the two you can get the best of both worlds and be close to the coworking space right around there
krxefnvf2mo
I fell in love with san isidro, especially living with an incredible ocean view at Malecon Godofredo Garcรญa.
hryniijdoonkthq2mo
I too liked Barranco a bit more since it has more interesting street art and is a bit more casual. Since it's right next to Milaflores you can travel easily back and forth
gtyzwrsqvkiu2mo
Yeah, Barranco is more casual for sure. Iโ€™ll agree with the above. Canโ€™t really go wrong with either, both are pretty secure/safe for Lima.

FWIW, I lived two years in Lima, lived in Jesus Marรญa, really liked it. Not sure how easy it would be to stay there short term however, I signed a 1yr lease, etc, etc

Hi everyone. Any co-working place suggestions between Barranco & Miraflores? prayskin-tone-3
hmckswwzaprf1mo
I suggest you Residencia
qswskxnovjjp1mo
It is between Barranco and Miraflores
gsadmjh1mo
waeymjte just arrived in ๐Ÿ„ Lima, #peru
dulfdlsbhlxt1mo
To echo the others, Barranco (bohemian), Miraflores (mainstream), and San Isidro (fancy) are the main 3 to look at and my favorites in that order.
Like jsdifmtaew said, i always go for the north barranco area because it's max 20 minute walk to most of the areas in barranco and miraflores from there (currently in Grau 1430)

heyo, I'm in Lima and planning to head up to Mancora in a few days to surf. Anyone been and can recommend a spot with decent wifi? Sadly will need to get some work done while I'm there! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Any recs would be super appreciated. Thanks NL'ers!
vpjuijbu2d
Work in Mancora? Not sure if thats a good idea. Iโ€™d suggest to look for an accomodation with good wifi, as the โ€œcoffeeshopsโ€ with goog wifi are mostly at the loud panamericana โ€œhighwayโ€ running through town ๐Ÿ™‚
gbxonitkxqodo2d
Haha yeah probably not the best idea but I found a quiet guesthouse that allegedly has good WiFi according to other reviewers Thanks for the rec! I'll definitely check out the Mancora Apartments saw that online as well and considered booking. Much appreciated!
bdnrporqmonik2d
How much time did you spend there?
lgqsvbdy1d
i was there for a week over xmas. also a very bad idea to stay there over xmas ๐Ÿคฃ
sbazrvhf1d
If you fancy a good burger head to โ€œSmokin Brothersโ€. For a good afordable lunch i liked โ€œRest cevicheria punto lobosโ€. Although they where out of carne for the whole week. But the Polo Saltado was one of the best i ever had.
