Central was very nice. A good experience. Didn't live up to Disfrutar for me; however, it was delicious and creative. I wasn't wowed but I'm glad I tried it. Went back to Osaka and believe it's better than Central & Maido tbh- very impressive flavors for the nigiris

Has anyone explored regions outside of Cusco and Lima, like Huaraz or Huacachina? I’d like to go actual exploring, not just city perching.

xioghlvnywkvvj Huacachina is definitely worth seeing. I only did a day trip there but it's very cool. But it's one of those towns that's 99% tourism, so not sure I would stick around too long.

I think I’m starting around them! Maybe the week before! I work set hours part time though and want to explore places and do big hikes in the weekends and perhaps small holes during the week if possible.

I went to Paracas, Huacachina, Arequipa, Puno, Iquitos, Tarapoto (and Cusco and Lima)… If you’re “exploring”, as in nature/outdoorsy stuff… the Amazon Jungle outside Iquitos is very unique compared to the rest of Peru. Also there are smaller towns outside of Cusco you can go to. I think Arequipa is a cool city to visit. Huacachina is definitely just a tourist trap for a day. Huaraz has really great hiking (so I’ve heard from friends, but haven’t been there).

So u recommend places to stay in these towns? Do you know any colivings?

HI! has anyone taken peru hop from lima to cusco? any notes on how it is stayign in the smaller towns and stops as a a working nomad?

I did this a few years ago and stayed in Arequipa for a few weeks. I wouldn’t say there are many more towns outside of Arequipa that can support you as a working nomad. I think there might be a small scene in huacachina too. Not much in between Arequipa and Cusco

I've done Lima -> Pisco -> Ica with PeruBus
And then Ica -> Nazca with Cruz del Sur and this evening I'm taking a night bus to Arequipa; from almost all the other stations there are also buses to cusco but it does take forever, maybe a plane is better

Hey does anyone know if it's possible to visit Machu Picchu for only one day from Cuzco? I heared that you maybe need to stay 2 nights in the village next to Machu Picchu and that your not allowed to visit Machu Picchu otherwise?

cmoieshdqvzgqk checking out the national reserve is pretty crazy, looks like Mars. The Ballesta Islands were way overrated IMO. If you have time maybe one day max in Paracas. But honestly you could skip it.

We live in a good neighborhood of Lima, looks like they are accepted everywhere around here, at least around San Isidro/Milaflores

If they take it out of the box, put your username and stuff in it, in that case I think it shouldn't be an issue because you are basically sending your own computer and not importing a new one. Its not different than carrying it in your backpack

pretty open question re other countries. the culture throughout LatAm is different in each place. re Lima, I prefer Barranco to Miraflores, it's more casual and a bit bohemian, while Miraflores is more touristy and higher prices. Airbnb in Lima worked well for me

Yes you can walk along the main drag and along the ocean cliffs but it’s a healthy walk. Less than one hour if I remember correctly

+1 for Barranco. Miraflores is like the Santa Monica of Lima.
