Yeah. I planned to go in Belgrade
but I have hesitations with this pandemic
Fair enough :slightly_smiling_face:. My experience here has been pretty good. Only thing thatโ€™s kinda sucked is my airbnb has kinda shitty wifi, but other than that no issues.
Is it easy to meet peoples ?
It have been difficult to make new friend in this time of pandemic
In what sense? People here seem willing to talk, but as far as making friends go I donโ€™t have a good answer to give you. I havenโ€™t really been looking at meeting many other digital nomads yet :slightly_smiling_face:. I think it seems there arenโ€™t many people from nomad list here.

Edit at this time at least
I was thinking about Belgrade, if itโ€™s easy to meet people with all restrictions.
jb2mo
anyone know how to get a PCR test in belgrade?
jb2mo
and how long does it take to get the results?
You can schedule one through euprava . gov . rs
Apparently youโ€™re suppose to get the results back within 24 hours. Iโ€™m not sure if that depends on where you get it done. But if you get it done at gradski zavod za javno zdravlje in belgrade you should be able to get it back in 24 hours I believe.
You have to pay for the test at a post office, and keep the receipt that you paid for it and show it at the testing site I believe. Iโ€™ve scheduled one and paid for it, but I havenโ€™t actually taken the test yet and gotten the result back.
(Iโ€™m going to copy and paste the same thing I posted in the channel in this thread for visibility)

ye saw this a bit late โ€” about the post office thing, need it for monday, and now its a holiday so thats not going to be possible.
jb2mo
actually they didnโ€™t have any scheduled for this weekend anyway it seems. and the PCR test needs to be 48 hours oldest.
jb2mo
thanks for the effort and info โœŠ
I think there are other locations (places besides post offices) you can pay at, but Iโ€™m not 100% sure
You can pay at any bank too, thought they might all be closed for the holiday
jb2mo
going in this morning to find a open post office. wish me luck!
๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ธ Howโ€™s Serbia doing right now? I am planning on going to Belgrade in 40 days. Will I be able to enter only with the PCR test?

Are you having a curfew? Are stores open?

Thanks bros ๐Ÿงžโ€โ™€๏ธ
Hey! I am not there but according to my researches most things are open and you can eat in restaurant outdoor and indoor starting today. And yes, only with a PCR test.
jb1mo
Most things are open until 10pm โ€” no indoor seating though. Weather is getting warmer, so can probably stay out with a light jacket.
Thanks bros. Great! From what I researched, many travelers are going there. Iโ€™ll be there on the 4th of June, feel free to get in touchย smiley
June 7th here , coming from Mexico (Itโ€™s getting to hot and humid!)
jb1mo
Damn Iโ€™m on my way out by that time unfortunately. But feel free to ping me for any questions.
Anyone non resident in Serbia tried getting a Covid vaccine? My Croatian assistant told me that Serbia vaccinates whoever wants one and that you can pick the shot you want and that she was going to Belgrade to get it done. The online form seems legit, although wondering if in reality one just ends up in an infinite queue.
jb26d
ye i tried. but got turned back when i arrived there (without regisration). it was opened in march completly it seems though, now its through registrations โ€” but ive gotten no response yet.

id say do registration and see how it goes cause it might be a hit or miss situation.
I registered when I was in Turkey from a few weeks ago and didn't get an appointment - i was told that it's better to do it with a local sim card. I came to Serbia a week ago and updated the registration to include a Serbian phone number, but still haven't received a notification - that being said, I did select only Pfizer and Moderna, so that could also be a reason why I'm not getting an appointment sooner.
They stopped the vaccinations for everyone. Theyโ€™re focusing on vaccinating citizens right now. They might open it for everyone eventually again. I donโ€™t have the links, and Iโ€™m to lazy to find them right now, but thatโ€™s my understanding.
thank you for this update
xlii Hoping you would know; do non-Serbians need to show a PCR test if we're just transiting the airport? My embassy website says no test is needed if I'll be in the airport only, and for less than 12 hours, both of which is true, but just want to check before getting there.
jb12d
if it is a real transit where you transfer within the airport then i think you should be fine. if you have to get stamped out and get your bags i think you would need to have it. id just get it to be safe to be honest, you can loose time easily otherwise.

they almost didnt allow me on the plane coming to montenegro, they said i needed a PCR to boardd the flight since im non serbian. it seems no one really knows the rules. Turns out I didnt need one since I was in serbia for more than 2 weeks but that informaiton took 1 hour to get, and I boarded the plane really late.
what are the best supermarkets/grocery stores in Belgrade? Any organic focused? In general I miss a way to look that up in any city I land in ๐Ÿ˜„ Google maps is not very useful, unless Iโ€™m using it wrong?
xves Really good to know; thanks so much! Based on the experience you described with entering Montenegro, have you found that can you generally enter countries from border countries without a test as long as you have been in-country for at least 2 weeks?
there used to be a good store near the maxi below studenski park, near bloom with organics, specialties. Not sure if it is still open.
I thinking about making another visit to Belgrade for July, coming from Vietnam via Dubai โ€ฆ reading through the past posts, it looks like it should be good as long as you have a pcr test within 48 hours. I have a potential apartment lined up. Any other considerations?
I came here from Dubai. The tricky part is the 48hour PCR test instead of 72h if you are in a place where those are slow like some areas of Italy. Luckily in Dubai they are super fast. I also learned that you are supposed to register your presence with police, not sure if itโ€™s a problem not doing it. Besides that super easy getting here.
Thanks, good point about lag on PCR โ€ฆ havenโ€™t had one for travel yet (just a government one last year) and was thinking it was a quick turnaround.

They always had that police registration but only one place ever asked about it โ€ฆ could be more prevalent now.
jb5d
i think its only because of the relationship between montenegro and serbia, so i wouldnโ€™t apply that to other places.
Can anyone recommend a good cafe to work from in the center of Belgrade? any good coworking spaces with daypass?
