I flew on December and was asked for the health form and vaccination proof yeah
thanks U02PX5AHB55!
i went to Paris for a conference in early December and they required negative test, so it seemed weird that Spain didnโ€™t!

I'm from Barcelona, but I'm looking for a nice hotel recommendation for Barcelona ๐Ÿ™‚ Ideally Poblenou or Eixample, between 50-100 eur per night; any ideas?
You have plenty of options in the 70 range
Check H10 they're pretty good quality and have many hotels, H10 Casanova in eixample for instance
I usually stay in accor hotels so I like the ibis in eixample but not the best location

Ages ago I stayed at Gran hotel Havana it's got a great location and it was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in
Thanks dnkyptqsw H10 are good, right choice

Hi there! Anyone here near Vigo?
Thankyou, I ended up joining dreamfit.
You should be able to do it with the YEGO app!!
lbizxufzzwwcrru Check out OneCowork. It's near Placa Catalunya. It's the single best coworking space I've ever used.

Thankyou! I was looking at their location near the harbour! What did you like about this one?
I went to Syra coffee today and they had a few nice tables set up for working

Anybody in/been to Valencia recently and can tell howโ€™s the covid situation there? places are open as usual? do you need a covid certificate to enter, etc.?
Hey!
Pretty much everything is open. You must present a covid certificate pretty much everywhere bars, restaurants, cinemasโ€ฆ
Thanks. Do they ask for a proof of ID as well? We prefer not carrying our passports with us but I wonder if some places will ask for it.
With the EU covid passport they normally donโ€™t ask for Id (it is a QR and they just read it for validation). But I had friends visiting from the US and they asked a couple of times for photo id. My friend showed his driverโ€™s license and that was enough.

hvbuvbxyretvixe Just go and check it out, you won't be disappointed. You should be able to get a free day pass. They have multiple locations in Barcelona.

It's beautifully designed, has an amazing kitchen, comfortable seating, more than enough phone booths for calls, it's 24/7. It checks all the boxes. The one downside is that it's expensive so if you're early in your journey and budget conscience it's probably a pass.
I'm moving to Barcelona on Friday and plan to work out of OneCowork at Placa Catalunya.
Hey peeps!
Does anyone happen to know if foreigners are able to get their booster shot in Spain?
Hello all, thinking of moving to Barcelona from Germany. Any recommendations for English speaking gestor that will take care of setting up freelance company and taxes
Anyone knows if the application bars use to verify your covid pass is downloadable? I wanna check if my pass, pass..
The app `VerificaC19`, the one used in Italy, is downloadable. And in my experience it works also with not Italian certifications. You could try with that one.
Yeah iโ€™ve tried covid free gr and tousanticovid (greek and french) and they have different interpretation for my recovery pass.. in Greece it lasts 3 months n france for 6
Every region has their own laws/rules in Spain, so you may want to check the one specific to where you go.
Wow crazy kozsejekddpwkywc , good to know! Iโ€™m valid for catalonia ๐Ÿ˜€
swjzfhlkfccnneqm is this the official site? Hope itโ€™s not collecting qr codes ๐Ÿ˜‚
It is, gencat is the website of the Catalan government
First time in Valencia - what would be nice neighborhoods to stay at? preferably not (too) touristy but still lively, well connected to other areas (by foot/public transport), nice to walk around. Heard about Ruzafa, but do you have anymore recommendations?
Ruzafa, Abastos, Eixample-Gran Via, and Benimaclet are my favorites.
I'm in the USA and recently recovered from COVID. Does anyone have any insight as to what sort of proof of recovery would be accepted by Spain? Is my original positive test result (which was taken by an urgent care facility) sufficient? I'm having trouble interpreting the guidance online with respect to proof of recovery. Even though I'm recovered, I'm still getting positive PCR test results and would like to be able to travel to Spain still without the negative PCR requirement for the time being.
Although Benimaclet is good too
You need a doctor's note saying you aren't contagious and fit to travel, as well as your positive test. That's what they required of me when I was leaving at least. Your positive test alone definitely won't be sufficient
If you're looking for a negative test try an antigen over PCR. More likely to show up positive on the PCR still since you can test positive for 90 days
90 days ๐Ÿคฏ
Today I learnt some science
I know right? I think it just sometimes sits in your nasal cavity. I used to run PCRs and they're usually really sensitive so that's why you can keep testing positive, but I know people who tested negative on a PCR after a week so who knows
Sounds like a nightmare ๐Ÿ˜…
Also when I entered Spain I didn't need any test to enter?
I didnโ€™t when I arrived in October, i just showed vaccination proof. But then again, there were so many of us trying to get in at once late into the night that the border guards barely gave it a glance
acxrlcdjdk Were you entering from the US or another EU country?
Just showed vaccination proof
I stayed in Ruzafa and it is a good first choice, now that I know Valencia a little bit better I like Benimaclet more
some people say neti pots help clean out the dead RNA in your nasal passages that triggers the false positives on PCR after recovery, I donโ€™t think there are any studies showing it but I suppose it canโ€™t hurt

Hi guys, any suggestions for the best place in Spain to learn Spanish? Mexico plans don't look promising with the visa issues so thinking to head straight back to Spain
I know Barcelona pretty well and have friends and connections but thought I can explore somewhere else while taking part in a course
Also, if anyone has done any Spanish immersion course, would be super grateful for a recommendation
In South of Andalucia is very difficult to find English speakers, one of the reasons why Iโ€™m spending so much time in this area. Of course any Spanish region come with its language/dialect, but itโ€™s still a full immersion. In Huelva/Punta Umbria itโ€™s really hard to find English speakers (but Huelva is not really nice). Cadiz is a bit more touristic but still good. Of course in big cities things change, but also in Sevilla and Granada for instance if you stay far from the most touristic attraction itโ€™s still a Spanish full immersion.
In Cadiz I met my Spanish teacher, I had some lessons there and then I continued online. I can give you her contact if you like.
I would suggest you also to ask for hospitality to people, like from tomorrow from three days Iโ€™m going to be guest of a woman with son, and they speak only Spanish.

I lived in Salamanca and went to Collegio Delibes. I would recommend it. I loved Salamanca, I met really cool people at collegio Delibes and the enjoyed the classes. I can't share the link as I have not been active for 30 days. But if you Google them you will find it easily.
What do you guys think if itโ€™s worth buying a flat in Barcelona? Iโ€™m thinking of buying one, with a mortgage, ideally rent it 6-7 months a year, and living there the rest. I donโ€™t want to mix my taxes for personal income with Spain though, so keeping my residency elsewhere.
๐Ÿ›ฌ txbtrdkemuru just arrived in ๐Ÿ’ƒ Barcelona, #spain
I'm thinking of doing the same thing, hoping to hear from others on their thoughts!
mrcl20h
My personal opinion is to separate your investments from your personal stuff. Buy a flat, rent it out 12 months a year and use AirBNB or likewise for your own rental. Mixing personal emotions in your investments isnโ€™t always a good thingโ€ฆ Puls, super flexible for your own whereabouts #my2cents
mrcl20h
I wouldnโ€™t stay in the old town though, too touristic, not easy biking. So pick the south and west parts within that blue circle.
Everybody says buy where you want to invest, rent where you want to live
Yes mostly, because i like living in Barcelona, but i donโ€™t want to live there more than 6 months a year.. iโ€™m tired of airbnbs that donโ€™t have good standards, king size bed, nice living room with kitchen and a big office area with screen and a great quality gaming chair, am i asking too much? ๐Ÿ˜‚
