Graz is a nice place. It's prettiest in the Innere Stadt, like the old city center. So probably stay there. Graz has a very lefty, alternative, hippe vibe to it. You'll see people wear lots of hemp and earth toned clothing and dreadlocks all over the place. Which is kinda fun for a change. The same people you'd see in Ubud or Koh Pha Ngan or Goa, you'll see in Graz. Speaking of the people, they're nice, but they won't smile at you in public mostly. I also wouldn't say it's easy to meet people he

People are fairly warm, and it's charmingly laid out. Lots of good cafes and restaurants, and the center is pretty walkable. As someone else said there are the commie block vibes, but those are in more peripheral neighborhoods. I felt it was safe, and had no issues getting around by tram mostly. As someone mentioned there is definitely the traditional Southern European cafes are for socializing, not working kind of vibe but still a decent number had wifi and didn't bat an e

Like others say, how on earth does everything close at 8pm? Even restaurants close their kitchen around 9pm ON WEEKENDS. The people really have this "arrogant, uppity" vibe that makes you want to leave ASAP. Yes, architecture is incredible. It's walkable, transportation works, etc. Incredibly expensive. I see no reason why would anyone choose Vienna to Budapest or Prague as their base. Good for 2-3 days trip, nothing else.

Ljubljana (and Slovenia in general) is an AMAZING place. I cannot recommend it enough. All I ask is - please don't write public blogs and make vlogs about it. It is still sort of undiscovered except among Europeans and mostly Italians. Let's try and keep it that way as long as possible.

I lived in Brno for 6 months and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's a small city with nothing to do for expats. There are a few cafés and some nice bars but nothing really special plus. I really don't mean to be rude but Czech people are no fun. It's just...boring and dull. Generally speaking people here, even millennials, don't speak English. I found it very hard to do basic stuff like go to stores in the supermarket because nobody speaks English. There are waaaay better places to go to a

I really wanted to enjoy it, but unfortunately it turned out to be one of my least favourite cities. Perhaps it was just me, but there was an overwhelming sense of distrust and dislike towards foreigners, you have to try pretty hard to blend in if you want to experience the life of a local & avoid the tourism. I met some wonderful people and and there’s some cool communities to be part of, but another extended stay

Is the Warsaw city council paying for the spot? I spent a month here mostly to help during the ukraine refugee crisis. This was the most meh city I've visited in my life. People are incredibly cold. They have this attitude (I was about to write slavic, but actually I've been to other slavic countries and they've been really friendly, so I don't want to bunch them together) kind of a cold indifference, but you can never tell if they're purposeful

Generally speaking, lifelong friends are made in school and then there´s family. People are very nice and sociable but forget about making friends. Lots of really bad restaurants (tourist traps) so you have to be careful where you go. I´ve lived here for two years so I have gotten to know some good places. Tons of tourists and overcroweded public transport. Yes, it´s a beautiful city but quite unlivable.
