What's a normal rate for accomodation in Manila?

#1

Coming here for business for 1st-30th June. Accommodation seems very expensive even a way out of the city, around $700 USD for anything remotely decent. Two bedroom (ideal, meeting someone) is around $1200 USD… almost more than you can get on Air BnB in Australia for something that’s way out in the burbs & low quality.

Any ideas or is this normal rate? Hardly the super cheap haven I’ve read about :frowning:

Long term rentals usually cost 500 USD/month for a single room/loft type. Rates will be higher if you will only lease for a short term. Try searching in OLX.PH

I stayed at Birch tower one year ago.

I payed something like 700 US for one room apartment, but who knows what’s the price now.

I’m a local here in Manila and living inside Bonifacio Global City. My rent for a 1 bedroom condo here is about USD500/month. But this is already in one of the prime locations. Rent in prime locations should be USD400-USD1000 per month for studio or 1 bedroom units. And is already fully-furnished. Try contacting someone who offers rent space and let me know. I’ll tell you if it is cheap or not.

I have done Makati at 500USD a month but that was through a local who booked it for me (3 bedroom). Think prices are slightly higher this year.
