I spent 7 days there. It's a little town for beach, surf and party. However, in the place "SELINA", you have a good environment to work, in front of the beach. The coworking space there isn't good, but the coffee inside the same "building" is very cool. I would recommend you to stay here 3 or 4 days, after that it's a bit boring. It's quiet in the week day, so better you manage to schedule to be there at least one friday or saturday, if you like partying.

Cali has beautiful weather and kind, friendly people. You will need to use Spanish here so it is a great place to learn. Locals are very patient with novice speakers. The city has many green spaces and weekend travel to the Pacific region and Coffee country is possible as well as inexpensive flights to other major cities in Colombia. Salsa is king here so it is worth taking lessons, as this is a major part of the city's nightlife. You can live quite cheaply here but expect foreign or imported fo

Very bad place to visit right now. The country is in a time of political and civil unrest, with mass protests closing down airports, train stations, and roads since early December 2022 (it is now mid January 2023). Tourists have had to be evacuated. The train to Machu Picchu is indefinitely closed until further notice. 48 people have died in the conflicts so far. Peru, and Cusco in particular, is a beautiful place with amazing things to see - but right now is not the time to visit.

For visiting tourists, the best neighborhood to stay in is NOT Bushwick. Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Ft. Green or Brooklyn Heights is preferable. Plenty of good transportation in those areas - subway, buses or Uber. Easy access to beaches in Long Island and New Jersey. There's plenty to do in NYC. Panama City is a B+ place to live: solid weather, amenities, safety, and cleanliness... but, it feels much like an American city due to the skyscrapers, urban sprawl, and the limited activities. If you're not shopping, eating at a restaurant, bar hopping, or going to a reggaeton club until 3am, there's not a whole lot else to do. The weather is remarkably consistent: everyday it will be 85F, it will be cloudy for a few hours including a 15-30 minute shower, and then it will be mostly sunny for
