The town has been taken over by tourists. Local music venues that have been around for 50+ years are closing because they can't afford the rent hikes. Tourism + out of town developers are driving prices for locals up and the job market can't keep up (minimum wage is still $7.25 an hour.) It would be possible to increase minimum wage, protect small business, and local cost of living if the state wasn't controlled by conservative republicans who won't pass any useful legislation to aid with the ec

Oh boy. Coming from someone who is from Knoxville, please don't move here. The internet is pretty good, but that's about all the pros. There is nothing to do, I get called at least one slur every day. Everyone here is homophobic and transphobic. If you are trans (like me) and are planning to move to Knoxville (Basically any part of TN is unsafe for us.) I wish so badly I could move out, please don't come here. The mountains, forests, and lakes are great, But the people are terrible. Maybe this

The strip contains every amenities that I need and also there is a lot of stuff to do there without going away from the strip. Las Vegas is inside of a desert so expect it to be really hot in the summer. Otherwise than that, the strip located in Vegas has many things to do, from going to concerts, fancy restaurants, gambling (if that's your thing), attractions (stratosphere, high roller), entertainments, and so many more things to do th

But central PV is pretty cheap, even inland from Hotel Zone is nice and cheap. Roads and walkways are narrow and horrible. Internet is OK. If you stay in PV central, the beach isn't so great for s

How did SF get scored #98 on Nomad score? I agree with most of the reviews posted here. I generally work from home, but we recently rented a small conference room for a meeting. It was $250 per hour.. (yes Per Hour... no typos here).

Yes, it is expensive, but after a while I learned about affordable places to eat and realized I could choose neighborhoods farther from city center, and it would still be nice. City feels super safe, even at nigh! Internet is crazy fast (I got 500mb on my airbnb) there are tons to do and see and I did not encounter the super rude Parisians people talk so much about, mostly everyone spoke English and were very polite. You have to ask yourself, is it worth coming to Barcelona? It's probably the dirtiest city in Spain, and a bit sketchy. There's more beautiful and cleaner cities like Seville where you can find a reasonably priced Airbnb.

It's a beautiful city and comically cheap for the quality of food / goods / services. People are rude and accomodation is pretty bad. Plus with the inflation of the dollar to peso (3x the buying power for foreigners) it was getting dangerous when I left.
