Old San Juan's architecture is lovely. Although it's as pricey as a US mainland city, the food is good and the coffee is excellent. Locals can vary in friendliness quite a bit -- although being brusque with someone from the US mainland is entirely understandable. Uber works perfectly well. The museums have very inexpensive admissions fees. All in all, a good destination for a shorter (3 weeks or less) trip. But not a place with a digital nomad community or lots of cultural activities.

Barbados is still the safest Caribbean island. Expensive yes but value for money. If you want low quality go elsewhere. The vibe is island living so don’t expect everything speedily. People are friendly, well dressed and well educated. It cannot be beat.

HOWEVER, Santo Domingo is the capital of the country. Just like most Capitals in Latin America (Mexico City being the exception), it's not worth visiting much time. If you want to experience what the Dominican Republic has to offer (Beaches, Nature, Friendly Locals) as a nomad I would recommend Las Terrenas or Cabarete.

Jarabacoa is an amazing town. It has a lot of local tourism from Dominicans so there are a lot of excursions like horseback riding, rafting, excursions, waterfalls, parasailing and more. Not as humid as other places in DR. Wouldnt stay here more than 2 weeks unless you are really into outdoorish mountains

Panama City is a B+ place to live: solid weather, amenities, safety, and cleanliness... but, it feels much like an American city due to the skyscrapers, urban sprawl, and the limited activities. If you're not shopping, eating at a restaurant, bar hopping, or going to a reggaeton club until 3am, there's not a whole lot else to do. The weather is remarkably consistent: everyday it will be 85F, it will be cloudy for a few hours including a 15-30 minute shower, and then it will be mostly sunny for

Boston is a city in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is the capital of the state, the largest city in New England, and the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The city proper is home to about 617,900 people, making it the largest city in New England and the 26th largest in the United States.

It has all of the convivences one could expect from the city except for an MRT system which as of September 2022, they are in the middle of building one anyway. Things are affordable although I have noticed a tamer street food scene compared to other places in Vietnam like Hanoi. Seems to be making more room for higher end dining but affordability is still easy. HCMC without a doubt has some great nightlife, so party animals are going to be very happy here. I am s

It is a very clean and green city, and hospitable to bicyclists. There are many parks and nature centers and an abundance of restaurants serving all varieties of cuisine. Traffic is terrible and everything is under construction. There seems to be a tacit rent floor that means you won't find a good deal on housing. A lot of people don't seem very invested in their interpersonal relationships here since their ties to the area are often transient.

For visiting tourists, the best neighborhood to stay in is NOT Bushwick. Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Ft. Green or Brooklyn Heights is preferable. Plenty of good transportation in those areas - subway, buses or Uber. Easy access to beaches in Long Island and New Jersey. There's plenty to do in NYC. Great restaurants, Broadway plays (!), and in the summer you frequently can catch a free concert.
