I don’t recommend living here full time. The summers are unbearably hot and humid and you have to drive 1+ hours to the closest beach. Actually, you have to drive everywhere because everything is a 20+ min drive. Traffic is terrible and everything is under construction. There are lots of bugs, mosquitos, gators, roaches, etc… You can be here for months and not do all the different entertainment, restaurants, experiences the Orlando area has to offer. Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, Legoland, Fu

I have grown up in Tampa Bay and can give some quick insight. If you want to genuinely experience the overall area or its history you'll want to visit both Ybor City and St Petersburg (First two areas that were initially settled). Clearwater is a tourist trap but has a beautiful manufactured beach (the sand as imported to make this beach what it is today). Saint Petersburg, FL: St Petersburg offers a few co-working spaces and at one time boasted the largest number of Kava Bars in a given ci

Born and raised 1 hour from Daytona Beach. Pros - Beach is nice. The sand is so packed down you and bike up the beach. You can drive onto the beach and snag wifi from local hotels work in your van. There are a few decent coffee shops. Some nice Diners and local farmers markets depending on the day. If you have a paddle board or kayak there are plenty of players to pop it in the river or sea. The Cons: Unless you're into Nascar and Motorcycles there isn't too much to do after the sun goes down ot

Red Tide every summer I've been there. It kills the fish which wash up to the shore and make the air toxic- hurts your lungs and eyes. BUT, other than that Sarasota has some cute hipster places that I've enjoyed. I wouldn't plan a trip here unless I lived nearby.

Way too expensive. I was looking for a place to rent for 4 months! I finally found a crap hole--- a room and a bathroom for 750 a month. I lasted less than a week there because the so-called neighbor who shared the building with me tried to kick my door in because she didnt like where I parked. I had to involve the police and the landlord. The landlord gave me my money back and that wacko got fired from their job, but it was disgusting. Not a good place to live anymore.

For visiting tourists, the best neighborhood to stay in is NOT Bushwick. Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Ft. Green or Brooklyn Heights is preferable. Plenty of good transportation in those areas - subway, buses or Uber. Easy access to beaches in Long Island and New Jersey. There's plenty to do in NYC. Great restaurants, Broadway plays (!), and in the summer you frequently can catch a free concert.

Tucson is a great place for outdoor activities, hiking, rock climbing, etc. Yes it's hot in the summer, but monsoon rains are magnificent when they come. The cost of living is lower than a lot of other areas in the country, and as a woman I've never felt particularly unsafe.

Yes, it is expensive, but after a while I learned about affordable places to eat and realized I could choose neighborhoods farther from city center, and it would still be nice. City feels super safe, even at nigh! Internet is crazy fast (I got 500mb on my airbnb) there are tons to do and see and I did not encounter the super rude Parisians people talk so much about, mostly everyone spoke English and were very polite.
