Being born there, it's hard to be objective, as most exciting stuff looks dull and tired. But walking in the old town and looking at the castle always makes me feel proud. The city is very cheap considering the living standard (and comparing to other similar Canadian cities). Internet speed are incredibly high and stable even in cheap coffee shops. The coworking scene, either in coffee shops or dedicated workplaces is very interesting. In winter, it gets WAY too cold, but the coldest period last

I loved it! Biggest downside is it's hard to get around without a car, and you really will want access to one here so you can visit the mountains or the ocean beaches, or the big city of Boston - any of which are easily possible to do for the day from here (all less than 2 hours' drive). New Hampshire is an incredible state if you want to experience nature. Not a lot to do within the city itself. Excellent internet service. Very cold in the winter. West side has a large French Canadian populatio

Boston is a city in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is the capital of the state, the largest city in New England, and the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The city proper is home to about 617,900 people, making it the largest city in New England and the 26th largest in the United States.

I have zero regrets and it was a lot of fun for a few years, but ultimately needed to leave. Pros: -Good variety of nightlife and activities. From clubs to cool bars to strip clubs, you can find it in Montreal. Drinking here is quite cheap. -Population feels very young in the city center due to multiple large universities. Other areas around are also full of young professionals. Lots of cool trendy areas. -Work to live not live to work attitudes. People in Montrea

I am a Greek living abroad just the last couple of years. I accidentally discovered this page and noticed the comments below. What I can recommend to people considering living in Athens is to explore places a bit outside of the city center. I agree with people that there are many areas very close to the city center that are dirty and perhaps not very safe to walk around at night. Explore areas like Glyfada, Voula, Kifisia, Marousi, Psychiko, Marousi and you will be amazed with how different it i

Was there once in winter and once in summer and I liked being there more in summer. In winter is just horribly cold and it's all grey. In summer you can do lots of stuff outside, although the Danube riverside isn't as cool as in Budapest. Pros: - great food options (not only Austrian, but also for vegans) - amazing architecture (really worth seeing) - lots of things to do Cons: - everything closes quite early (supermarkets at 8pm, come on) - quite expensive (didn't re

Weather is miserable for 4-5 months a year. Nightlife is average. Taxes are high. Every conversation with someone from here devolves into how expensive it is (and honestly, it's not particularily expensive... compared to other large english speaking cities). Transit isn't great. City doesn't feel particularily well planned. If you want to live in a cold city, then go to Montreal or Berlin.

I did NOT feel comfortable walking around many places alone because there are a lot of mentally ill/drugged out people. During daylight with other people I felt fine. There are soo many restaurants, interesting boutique gyms, cool libraries and more. The variety you can find in DC is closer to NYC than you can find most places. The memorials are pretty cool. There are a lot of free museums which are impressive. I liked the Lincoln Memorial/Gettysburg

I would definitely recommend visiting but not during summer as it can get really hot. My first day here it was 42 degrees and really dry. It has gotten better so I would say visit around August or later. Marrakesh is lovely but very touristy and I can only imagine how things were pre-pandemic. Since it is very touristy, locals are more lenient when it comes to what you choose to wear which helps a lot when it's really hot. Obviously, you stil

Upside is you get to live like a local in a insanely touristy town 10 months of the year. We were able to grab a very nice 1 bedroom apartment in the old town center with a kitchen for 150 euros for 5 nights (30 euros/n). Probably 10-15 restaurants were open in the old town, incl
