Hey fellow nomads!
Iโm working on an article and would love to know: what are the most common questions people ask you about nomading/travel/working from the road?

Hi everyone,
I would love to hear what you'd like me to build next on Nomad List, or any other product/feature feedback ideas you have.
It's been 6+ years now but I'm in this for the long term and with the boost remote work got last year it's even more exciting to work on Nomad List than ever.
Current roadmap is here: twitter.com/levelsio/status/1363204985488572417?s=20 and pbs.twimg.com/media/EusS9PKXEAUR8xp?format=jpg&name=4096x4096
The next products/features I have planned:
- ๐ Rebase: visa, residency and immigration services for remote workers
- ๐Courses: learn the steps how to go remote and travel/relocate
- ๐ Gov liaison: diplomacy services to the governments to help us lobby for nomads and for them to attract remote workers
Thanks a lot!
What are the best places right now in the Caribbean/LatAM? (Also cheapest flights/accommodation?) Asking from the US.
As part of signing up for this website I was hoping I would come across a list of Visa and/or Residency requirements by country ideally in a table format to assist with decision making. Does anybody recommend any other websites that might present the information in this format (or Google Spreadsheet)?
I love living in walkable areas of town. I can always find them. But now I'm wondering where in the world are the most walkable places? I'm imagining walk streets (no cars), zoning allowing both business and residential, parks or beaches ,etc.
Hi guys,
After the Netherlands, the Bay Area, Colorado and being on the van life for 8 months, I am now in Sedona, AZ with a few other digital nomads. We are sharing a home here and are wondering if there are more like minded people in the area.
We do a bunch of hikes and campouts in the northern of Arizona. If you would like to connect with us, please do so :)

Has anyone figured out a way to get setup with a virtual number and internet connection anywhere you go?
Hi everybody. I live and work in Germany and want to go to Canary Islands for 6 months to work from there. I'm going to keep my current job, just change the "home" in the home office part of things. Are there any tax issues I have to be aware of? I was reading about becoming a residence after 183 days, thus having to pay taxes there plus my employer having to register there. Does anybody know how it works exactly? Thanks a lot!
Winter is coming and Iโm feeling the ache of travelling after being stuck in the same place since the Pandemic started. Wondering if anyone is travelling right now? If so, where are you currently located and how is the situation where you are?
Hi, I've got a question to anyone who had experience with the digital nomad lifestyle. I'm 24, I'm in my last year of university doing computer science, got 3 years of experience mostly doing web development.
I never liked the idea of staying in one place, getting a job and growing roots - hence the will to take the opportunity and travel the world. My main question is โ how do I go about it? Are there any useful resources I could look into?
How do I go about insurance and such once I decide to move. I currently live in Switzerland and do freelance work for one company. It's not a lot, since my studies don't allow me to pick up a full time job, but it allows me to cover simple expenses.
I'd be happy to get some insight into how things work and also happy to network with anyone interested.
Iโm a professional psychotherapist who is starting out in this lifestyle and Iโm curious to hear what specific psychological struggles people had to overcome while making the transition to life as a DM. Also, what do you do to stay mentally healthy while traveling to foreign lands. Iโm interested in hearing any insights people may have, especially since I am working on a book on psychological resilience and I canโt think of a more stressful transition than moving from a static to a nomadic lifestyle. If youโre not comfortable putting your experiences on a public forum, feel free to PM me.
Iโd like to get into conversations with other agency owners with employees, or even create a mastermind group and share experiences around questions like:
Anyone interested? Thanks!
Hey guys,
Iโm doing a series of nomad interviews to demonstrate how different we all do this nomad thing. Iโve just published one on How Fast Do Nomads Travel? (http://gigigriffis.com/how-fast-do-digital-nomads-travel/) and Iโve got a few coming up on Do Digital Nomads Have Home Bases?, What Are Digital Nomad Work Schedules Like?, How Do Nomads Choose Where to Go Next? Etc.
Iโm looking for people who would be interested in answering some questions and sharing their personal nomadic perspectives. So if thatโs you, let me know.
Also, itโs really important to me to show some diversity, so Iโm particularly interested in interviewing POC and nomads who are from unusual backgrounds (for example: 40+ nomads, retired nomads, nomads with kids, LGBT nomads, etc.).
I am based in Dhaka, Bangladesh and I am planning to start my nomad life later December. I was preparing before that.
I had some burning decisions to be made before that.
Savings : How much you need to have savings before starting your nomad life and how much will be enough and constant and easily accessible to everywhere I mean mode keeping the money i.e Cash or Banks
Home Base: Do you guys have a home back and do you come back there in a routine period such as every month or so.
And Whatโs in your backpack: I need a extra 23 inch monitor for work otherwise I donโt feel comfortable, I am thinking ways to fit in my backpack, what is the common size of your bags and do you carry a lot luggage, usually picking luggage takes a lot time and a lot hassle too. I prefer only backpacking and hand luggage thatโs why.
Would you please suggest and share your experiences with me.
Best
