Winter is comingโฆ Brrrr. Iโm in Europe at the moment.
Iโve spent winters in SE Asia, Thailand, south on the beaches, and North in Chiang Mai. I love Thailand. But also Iโve been to Vietnam, Bali, Laos, Camobodia, and Malaysia.
Down in South America I spent a winter around Playa Del Carmen.
Where are you going this winter?
I'm actually thinking of NOT going somewhere warm this Winter but instead spending it in some snowy ski/snowboard village, rent a cute Airbnb cabin with a fireplace and have cheese fondue. ๐ฅ๐๐จ๐ ๐
I surf, a lot and have a family, so we hunker down, for most of the year in Oahu. If anyone wants to spend thanksgiving through new years in Oahu, hit me up, I have a 3 bedroom solar powered house with hot tub 200 meters from the beach and I will be in NJ this holiday season, would love to rent it out to RESPONSIBLE professionals.
Iโm in Buenos Aires now๐ i need to verify my stay in San Juan because, although it is all set up already, with the recent earthquakes I think it is good to call and confirm. Since they just had another 5.2 โaftershockโ, going to wait a week without earthquakes before calling
I have been doing SouthEast Asia and it works - is mainly dry and warm. I do need to find a June to October good place though - is so rainy and with Typhoons etc - is not fun where am at. So far only place I can see affordable and dry and warm is Vegas hahaha - which I can do as I have timeshare so gives me 3 months there. But ya - its hot - like 40 Celsius hot. Tried it last year - after 2 weeks said never again but never say never.
Past few years this has been where Iโve done most of my traveling. This year I am late in commiting because of delays in my contract, but this is mostly resolve now. I am about to commit to a month each in Buenos Aires, Santos Brasil, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. 
I was thinking Bali/Thailand as Iโve never been yet. getting too cold even here in Barcelona.
How about a winter in the Alps? We are opening a mountain coliving, Cloud Citadel, in the French Alps, connected to ski resort, and we are offering a 2-week free stay this winter.

Iโm going to New Zealand (expensive yes but I want to check it out), then SEA. Will also have a vacation in Oceania while Iโm in that area
Past year I went to Sicilia, for next one I was thinking to Turkey. If you donโt mind the ice for a few days also Saint Petersburg is awesome.
I thought Iโm gonna spend this winter in Moscow. But when I started to feel the weather I immediately booked ticket to Bali. Iโve been in a lot of places, but Bali I found perfect for work and leisure.
So Iโm going there in a week until April I suppose.
What do you do for visa for that many months? A multiple visit visa, extensionsโฆ? Need to apply in person?
Just VoA for 30 days in Airport then extend it for 30 more days with agency. You need to visit immigration office just once instead of 3 in that case.
Afterwards I do visa run and repeat the scheme.
You can apply for social visa (in any country except Indonesia) for 6 month, but it wonโt allow you to left Indonesia and itโs harder to apply for so I donโt like it. Itโs not a problem to fly out and back every 2 months for me.

What are the best places right now in the Caribbean/LatAM? (Also cheapest flights/accommodation?) Asking from the US.
As part of signing up for this website I was hoping I would come across a list of Visa and/or Residency requirements by country ideally in a table format to assist with decision making. Does anybody recommend any other websites that might present the information in this format (or Google Spreadsheet)?
I love living in walkable areas of town. I can always find them. But now I'm wondering where in the world are the most walkable places? I'm imagining walk streets (no cars), zoning allowing both business and residential, parks or beaches ,etc.

Has anyone figured out a way to get setup with a virtual number and internet connection anywhere you go?
Hi everybody. I live and work in Germany and want to go to Canary Islands for 6 months to work from there. I'm going to keep my current job, just change the "home" in the home office part of things. Are there any tax issues I have to be aware of? I was reading about becoming a residence after 183 days, thus having to pay taxes there plus my employer having to register there. Does anybody know how it works exactly? Thanks a lot!
Winter is coming and Iโm feeling the ache of travelling after being stuck in the same place since the Pandemic started. Wondering if anyone is travelling right now? If so, where are you currently located and how is the situation where you are?
Planning ahead for the winter. Iโll be in Spain in the Fall and want to go someplace warm for the winter in or near Europe, but not Schengen. Was first thinking Cape Town, but the internet is slow and it is very far. Was also thinking:
Israel - but airbnb listings are very pricey.
Morocco?
Turkey - maybe a little chilly.
Any other suggestions?
Iโd like to go to Japan for winter (on a 90 day tourist visa). Since I like winter sports, Iโm thinking about staying somewhere like Nagano or Sapporo or even a ski town e.g. Hakuba but Iโm a little worried about finding solid accommodation and a quiet place to work.
Any suggestions? Also if youโve used Airbnb in Japan while working Iโd love to hear how it worked out for you.
