I have been several times to Burgas. The Sea Garden is amazing and you see so many people doing sports activities, jogging, gym in the park etc. The center of the city is the best part along with the Sea Garden, beaches are nice and has airport that starts to get traffic also in winter season. It is peaceful city and in terms of food and friendly people it is great. The downside is during winter you have not much to do and I have heard there are sometimes shortage of water for locals.

Not many things to do here. The beaches aren't clean. The place only seems lively in the summer. The rest of the year, most local businesses close their shops because there are no more tourists. Only malls are open all year. Most people don't speak English, so you are not likely to connect with people here. Many other cities in Romania like Bucharest (where I currently live), Cluj and Timisoara have much more to give.

Spent 1 week in Sofia working remotely. I did not like it at all. Perhaps I was staying at some bad part of the center. But it was dirty, drunks(just peeing on the street was a nice sight) and beggars on the streets. Was also very unlucky with the food I took in some resturants/cafes. It´s difficult to make friends here. Generally speaking, lifelong friends are made in school and then there´s family. People are very nice and sociable but forget about making friends. Lots of really bad restaurants (tourist traps) so you have to be careful where you go. I´ve lived here for two years so I have gotten to know some good places. Tons of tourists and overcroweded public transport. Yes, it´s a beautiful city but quite unlivable.
