Just returned to Europe from spending three weeks in Canggu and I can definitely not recommend it. There's no reason to live in this city. I spent a year here. The weather is not even a bit nicer compared to central-eastern Europe. Maybe when it's -4 degrees in Budapest, it's +1 in Barcelona. I've been in Phuket for about a month now. Most of that time I've spent in Ka Ron and Kata beach area, but also have been to Chalong, Pa Tong, Rawai, and Kathu.
