There are 133 Warm Places in Latin America like Mexico City, Playa del Carmen and Buenos Aires with an average cost of living of $1,544/month, internet speeds up to 40 Mbps and temperatures ranging from 20°C to 33°C68.204°F to 90.79°F.
If you stay in Roma or Polanco you'll be fine. Mexico City was a little too chaotic for my taste, but also had some really beautiful and cool neighborhoods and a must visit if you find yourself in the middle of Mexico. Uber runs here so that makes it easy to get around. It can be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be, a decent hostel will run you $15 - $20/night. I cook many of my meals and prefer to splurge at nice restaurants a few nights a week vs eating at cheap places for every meal

Love living here! This was my 3rd foreign country and the first that both myself and my husband got to figure out together. I highly recommend getting a bike while you're here and immediately signing up for a coworking space (I use bunker coworking). Not all places have great wifi and you have to be specific on the upload/download speed that you require when contacting hosts with questions. Avoid tourist traps. Do not rent a place off of 5th Ave or 10th Ave unless you are in Playacar or way off

Been living here in Buenos Aires for almost three years. Right now, it's (relatively) cheap. I mean, it isn't for the people who currently lives here but it's if you're a foreign, as the inflation keeps going on the peso isn't that worthy now. But, as I'm saying, if you come with dollars is going to make a huge difference. (3 years ago: 20 pesos= 1 USD. June 2020: 95 pesos= 1 USD. and if you're selling dollars in the informal market they will pay you $124. and with that you can buy two small

I like São Paulo, but I don't love it. It's pretty boring in my opinion. Probably because I love Buenos Aires so much and it just does not compare. Also for the 4 months (September - January) I was there, it was cold, overcast, and rainy 85% of the days. It was pretty depressing! Other than that, it's pretty safe overall for Latin America. Also, I really appreciate how people here take COVID more seriously than in a lot of other places in Brazil. If I had to do it again, I would stay near

This place is a lot of fun, has beautiful beaches, and gives easy access to amazing cavern diving. That said I wouldn't recommend it, overall. You have two parts, centro and hotel zone. Hotel zone is essentially as if Bali existed in the US, but inexplicably is somehow in Mexico. Roughly 3-4x the price of Bali and the rest of Mexico, almost no real mexican food (the best reason to go to Mexico) in the hotel zone, a bunch of beach hipsters (Tuluminati), relatively terrible internet (some 10Mbps+

One of the most horrendous cities I've ever been to. Too much traffic, ugly architecture and even the food is very much hit and miss. Oh and housing is not that cheap. People can range from very friendly to very much not caring but on average, they're neither unfriendly nor easy to connect with, even if you speak good Spanish. More than anything, from someone used to the lively vibe in Colombia or Mexico, the place is as lively as a cemetery. No music, not even a peep at night... There's a reaso

I lived for 4 years in Medellin. People its nice, friendly, nightlife its amazing and can be as crazy as you want, the city its cheap and really beautiful, i loved Medellin, best city of south america in my opinion. I recomend laureles more than el poblado but both places are great.

I was here for a month. Rio is a beautiful and vibrant city. There's a lot of icons to see. There's great food and the beach is right there. In my, experience the pandemic hasn't impacted the city much. Bars and clubs are still open. I usually go out to Leblon, Ipanema, Lapa, and Barra da Tijuca. However, it can definitely be a dangerous city if you're being careless. About 10% of the people I've met had an incident there. I was mugged once walking home one night after the clubs in Ipanema, an

For the most part, pretty amazing. The beaches are usually not overcrowded, and the natural scenery is pristine. It's very walkable, and there are tons of great restaurants on nearly every block with reasonable prices. I came in mid-November, and it was still uncomfortably warm and humid then, even at night, so beware if you struggle with heat. The evenings started to get cool and pleasant in late November/early December. This is Mexico, so I was expecting it to be gritty, but it was worse tha

Puerto Escondido is wonderful - feels Tulum-y, but much cheaper. However, unlike Tulum, the wifi is terrible. Tried dozens of places, and the speeds are rarely higher than 2-4mpbs, but also unreliable. One exception - Playa Bacocho beach club has good wifi.

One of the best places in Brazil. Beaches, hiking trails, connection with other Brazilian cities by air and the flights are not that expensive. I stayed there in April-June. No tourists, prices go down, everything is calm. Definitely it's the best in shoulder season (March-April or October-November). It can be noisy and pricey in the summer. People very friendly like everywhere in Brazil. I rented a studio room for 350$ in a nice quiet neighbourhood in 2019.
