I really enjoyed my trip to DC for one week. I did NOT feel comfortable walking around many places alone because there are a lot of mentally ill/drugged out people. During daylight with other people I felt fine. There are soo many restaurants, interesting boutique gyms, cool libraries and more. The variety you can find in DC is closer to NYC than you can find most places. The memorials are pretty cool. There are a lot of free museums which are impressive. I liked the Lincoln Memorial/Gettysburg

Lived in Copenhagen for just under three years, and for the whole time, I have worked remotely as a freelancer. I've lived in New York City - Brooklyn - for over 20 years. For visiting tourists, the best neighborhood to stay in is NOT Bushwick. Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Ft. Green or Brooklyn Heights is preferable. Plenty of good transportation in those areas - subway, buses or Uber. Easy access to beaches in Long Island and New Jersey. There's plenty to do in NYC. Great restaurants, Broadway plays (!), and in the summer you frequently can catch a free concert.

I've been to New Orleans plenty of time as a tourist, but this is my first time being a digital nomad and working down here for 3 weeks. Something about New Orleans always brings me back. Such a unique and one-of-a-kind place that while has gotten more expensive over the years, still is far more affordable than many places in the US. Dirty. Hospital system is atrocious. Its like having a bunch of shiny glossy hospitals with poorly educated doctors everywhere. Most people end up going to 'Quickcare ER' places that are plastered all over town. Lets put it this way... There is a reason why 95% of expats are male.... Pros: Food carts, local microbrews, lots of outdoor activities within day trip range, high property values. Cons: trash everywhere, out of control crime, violent drug-addicted "houseless" everywhere, mediocre public schools, some of the highest taxes in the country, ineffective police force, antiquated inefficient form of city government, very high rents, passive aggressive culture.

Lima was fantastic. food was amazing and incredibly inexpensive. $3 lunches, $25 fine dinner restaurants. I had 100+mbs internet in the Airbnb. I preferred Barranco, which is artsy and more bohemian than the more-touristy Miraflores, but that's me. I know a lot of people like Miraflores for the restaurant life. Very bad place to visit right now. The country is in a time of political and civil unrest, with mass protests closing down airports, train stations, and roads since early December 2022 (it is now mid January 2023). Tourists have had to be evacuated. The train to Machu Picchu is indefinitely closed until further notice. 48 people have died in the conflicts so far. Peru, and Cusco in particular, is a beautiful place with amazing things to see - but right now is not the time to visit.

For a European capital, there's not much to do. It's extremely overpriced for what it offers. Did not find the locals nearly as friendly as sources say. Food is very meh. Grocery stores are disorganized and everything close to expiry. You will have to beg and compete to find a dump of an apartment for under $2,000 euro/month. Brighton has some obvious positives. It has a beach, it's one hour from London and the UK's 2 biggest airports. It's one of the few UK places outside of London which has a considerable cultural/creative scene. Bad walkability? Oslo is known for its great walkability and accessibility to nature. The public transport system is also great, and the city is safe. However, the downside is that it is a very expensive city. Basic items like fruits, vegetables, meat and even beer can be costly. Additionally, the import system in Norway is very protective, which means that grocery stores often only carry products that are made in Norway.

There's no reason to live in this city. I spent a year here. The weather is not even a bit nicer compared to central-eastern Europe. Maybe when it's -4 degrees in Budapest, it's +1 in Barcelona. That's just as cold. And the insulation in apartments is practically non-existent, as well as AC and heating. I and my family moved here from Saudi Arabia, Rovaniemi is a great city to live in with an amazing free education system. The people there are so nice, in cafes, restaurants or just if you bump into them on the street they are so friendly and willing to help. There are so much fun things to do in Rovaniemi.

Tokyo has so much to offer and so much to do. It is easily overwhelming. Whereas I usually take my first week to explore a place Tokyo’s sights just kept on going.
