This is an algorithmic recommendation based on @gianpower's trips history to find places they haven't been to yet that other people with similar travels also went and liked.
This city is not for everyone, if you like shopping malls and big crowded cities it is for you. It may be cheap but if you want to live in a good location with swimming pool, go to nice rooftops and restaurants, use taxis then it is similar cost to western countries. In many areas there are no sidewalks, big and dangerous traffic all the time, pollution, taxis do not want to go with meter, it can get really hot. Definitely try to live by the metro. Many foreigners, mostly friendly people, cheap

2nd time to Tokyo in 2 years. So much to see and do and great value in the past few years due to a declining yen against the USD & Euro. Athens is a fantastic city. Locals are friendly and food is fantastic. There isn't a huge amount to do, but for a short stay it's definitely worth the visit.

Budapest was on my list about cities for living. I stayed for 7 days and was a little disappointed People are not very friendly, lots os places very dirty, people smoke a lot and the costs isn't affordable as people indicated here. Its a beautiful place, walkable, people have a good level of education, lots of things to do, but not as i imagined. Even so its a nice place.

Lived in Prague for 8 years. It's a beautiful international European city. Never learned Czech, but was fine. Almost all cafes and restaurants have English menus. Superb food delivery apps (Wolt is the best). All the food you can imagine. Vietnamese food is world-class because of the huge Vietnamese population. I don't know exactly how Barcelona is still considered safe but it's far from it. It's probably the most dangerous city to live in Madrid and one of the most dangerous in europe, with constant pick-pocketing and even violent crimes to get your wallet and phone in certain areas. If you like a peaceful life, Barcelona is not the place anymore!!

I've been in Malta for approx 7 months now. And it's quite mediocre. It really feels like a car centric dystopia with absent of trees and way to much construction towards the european classical colorless Bauhaus minimalist architecture that slowly will kill peoples soul (Which is really sad because the classical buildings in Malta is quite beautiful and characteristic). Thessaloniki is a city spread over the hills by the side of the Aegean. A cultural crossroads since Byzantine times, it has amazing cuisine and is full of reasonably priced tavernas and restaurants. Full of neo-classical buildings, there are lots of great living options available close to the city center and beyond. The pace of life is stately or as locals call it "hallarah" and most are not in a rush. There is a nice film festival in the Fall and many other public celebrations.

From 2015 to 2019 I have lived in Chania. There were not many expats, mainly older brithisn expats. Some artists, writers etc... Organic shops just starting ,spiritual community just starting.. Few scattered ppl across the west of Crete. It has apparently started to change now, more and more expats coming, I see more and larger FB nomad groups.. back then there was absolutely nothing of such kind. I had tried to create community through couchsurfing back then and met a few interesting people. H

Iโm African American. Was in Mallorca for a week on a trip. I found everyone amiable, friendly and, in retail outlets, accommodating. Same with food service. I noticed a lot of black folk in Palma, presumably vacationing there. When I got lost I was graciously helped. It was very hot thereโJune 2023. Not much on the architecture front. Besides the central part of town, housing was rather plain and even ugly. Some of the small towns I visited were also rather plain.

I don't understand why London has so high safety rating. Your phone could be stolen and your bicycle WILL be stolen here (or a part of it). I live here 8.5 years and I experienced the above multiple times. Police seems only cares about crime against person by whatever reason. Insure everything expensive that you own. I would also add that antisocial behaviour is quite common here and teenagers are heavily involved in crimes as police don't do anything with them because of their age. Basically th
