I really liked Chiang Mai but I can't put my finger on why. I'll try to remain unbiased so here goes. Chiang Mai is a dirty place with horrible pollution levels. English speaking is okay. I live here with my girlfriend close to Santa Cruz now for around 1 year. We lived before in Alicante and Gran Canaria. Lots to discover if you like Hiking or Surfing. Nomad scene is here with a couple of Meetups and Activities if you look for it. It's relative cheap compare to West Europe. Food is difficult to find Restaurants what you can eat well. Pros: Weather always perfect even in winter It's an Island, so there are many beaches 2 Airports with many flights all over Europe Fresh Frui

I've been hanging out in Berlin on and off for 30 years. It is very safe for women. It is much friendlier than it used to be. There are loads of vegan restaurants now. The nightlife and specially jazz clubs are amazing! I have an excellent apartment to rent out in Wedding - which used to have a boring reputation but now is very cool.

Stayed for 2 weeks after almost a year n a half in LatAm. Beautiful city; great food options- especially for Asian food lovers. I just wanted to mention one thing, It is funny how it is listed that it is not safe for women and is not LGBTQ friendly meanwhile I have lots of friends recently who moved to Warsaw because they consider Warsaw to the safest city in the EU! I also have some Latin America LGBTQ friends coming to Warsaw because it is just safer here. If safety is your main concern, go to Warsaw, it's the best selling point of Warsaw. As a woman it is safe to come back to your place by yourself at 3 am.

The city is quite pleasant. There are some good streets to walk. It never feels crowded, except the most touristic areas. Architecture is interesting (but nothing to write home about) in a small touristic area, outside of it it's mostly ugly Soviet-era apartment blocks and ramshackle small houses. Very cheap city, I don't know what nomadlist is smoking with their price estimates. I spent around $500-600/mo while I was here even while living in city center. City is relatively safe but you'll occasionally get harassed by beggars which can create a feeling of unease. Ljubljana (and Slovenia in general) is an AMAZING place. I cannot recommend it enough. All I ask is - please don't write public blogs and make vlogs about it. It is still sort of undiscovered except among Europeans and mostly Italians. Let's try and keep it that way as long as possible.

Prague is a beautiful city and I like it despite its quirks. I use it as a base in Europe. Kyiv is a seriously not a good place for nomads to stay in. People don't speak english and are not friendly to foreigners at all, either you're white, asian, black, arab, latino, whatever. Food isn't really good specially when it comes to delivery, expensive and tasteless. The metro is cheap which is a good thing, and there is a nice architecture and places to go to.
