I've been hanging out in Berlin on and off for 30 years. It is very safe for women. It is much friendlier than it used to be. There are loads of vegan restaurants now. The nightlife and specially jazz clubs are amazing! I have an excellent apartment to rent out in Wedding - which used to have a boring reputation but now is very cool.

There's no reason to live in this city. I spent a year here. The weather is not even a bit nicer compared to central-eastern Europe. Maybe when it's -4 degrees in Budapest, it's +1 in Barcelona. That's just as cold. And the insulation in apartments is practically non-existent, as well as AC and heating. Stayed for 2 weeks after almost a year n a half in LatAm. Beautiful city; great food options- especially for Asian food lovers. I've stayed in Merida for about 1 month during winter. I really enjoyed the Merida fest which take place during the month of January. I felt very safe in this city and people are very friendly. There are plenty of cafes in Centro where you can work and the internet is quite good. Overall, it's a great place to be and I would see myself stay for a long time.

It's a safe area of Mexico, and also even the people who try to sell you crap, 'vendors' is less aggressive here. I have done about 2.5 months total in PV (two separate trips). Airbnbs are plentiful near the centro and december 5, more expensive in the romantic zone and even more expensive in Sayulita.
