Las Vegas is a great tourist destination for me personally. The strip contains every amenities that I need and also there is a lot of stuff to do there without going away from the strip. Las Vegas is inside of a desert so expect it to be really hot in the summer. Otherwise than that, the strip located in Vegas has many things to do, from going to concerts, fancy restaurants, gambling (if that's your thing), attractions (stratosphere, high roller), entertainments, and so many more things to do th

I've spent a few months in Tenerife in 2020. I think it's the best of the Canary Islands for remote workers. The South has better weather and more touristy vibe, the North is colder but with more long-term people. Nomads seem to be living around El Medano, Puerto de la Cruz or Las Americas. Pros: - Lots of nomads. Seems to be a good solution for those who have to remain in EU timezones or just starting out they nomad journey and don't want to take too much risk. - Awesome weather. - Nature. Sur

Housing is an issue (so cost of living is high) but the city is beautiful and summer in Amsterdam is hard to beat with all the cultural activiies and music festivals. Would not want to live in the actual city center (inside the "grachtengordel") but have been living in East for over 2 years now and aside from the price (and size) of apartment life is just good here. Biking everywhere is bliss. Winter can be cold though.

  • Vienna

Vienna is nice if you're a tourist and want to see beautiful old architecture. And I guess it's nice if you want to live here for a long time, since it's quite safe and clean. But it's borderline impossible to live and work here short-term as a nomad. There's no good cafes to work from, the coworkings here are of extremely mediocre to bad quality here. Except for greaaaat Asian food, other food is difficult to get, there's either affordable takeaway fast food or expensive in-door fancy dining re

Bansko is much overrated. In summertime it feels like a ghost town in the residential apartments. The center is quite animated but it is not very expatfriendly. I did not see any digital nomad scenes. Not heard any other language than Bulgarian around. It is more a family oriented national village. Big supermarkets closed in summertime so you take a taxi to shop outside the town. I can imagine that in wintertime there is much more activity but avoid summertime, unless you want to be quite and en

I absolutely love living in this city. It's very clean, safe and things generally always work! This is something I miss when I travel to other cities in Europe and rest of the world. Also co-working spaces are growing tons. Though night life might be pretty "boring", it truly is what you make it. Get to know other expats and friends through meetups or friend of a friend, and you'll have an awesome time here!

  • Havana

Havana is great for a vacation, not for remote work. One of the best thing here is the atmosphere - it means people, music, fun, nightlife. BUT the situation with food is very complicated, is hard to find literally anything, there are queues everywhere. The internet is expensive (2.5 GB of LTE for 8 dollars) and very unstable. If you don't need so much internet to your work and if you are patient enough, you can enjoy Havana as it is really interesting and unique city.

Awesome city! Spent nearly 2 months in Palermo and the area (Nov-Dev). Weather was perfect (especially when comparing to Europe) Good 1BR apartments can be found at at < $1,000/mo ( in the central area ). Internet can be a hit or miss, I lucked a 80/80 Mpbs. There's a cool (and free) coworking space (Magneti Cowork). Great city to just roam around walking, there are nice areas along with multiple old markets and many places to get a good bite/drink. • New York City

I've lived in New York City - Brooklyn - for over 20 years. For visiting tourists, the best neighborhood to stay in is NOT Bushwick. Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Ft. Green or Brooklyn Heights is preferable. Plenty of good transportation in those areas - subway, buses or Uber. Easy access to beaches in Long Island and New Jersey. There's plenty to do in NYC. Great restaurants, Broadway plays (!), and in the summer you frequently can catch a free concert.
