  • Oranjestad

I (F35) have lived and worked here for approx. 8 months. I am part of the LGBTQI+ community and and am based in NL. During my stay I was openly myself and had 0 bad, rude or dangerous encounters. Well the law is behind the in terms of legality, the gay scene is quite big and out there. It's one of the most LGBTQI+ friendliest islands in the Caribbean on many lists. That is why I chose Aruba instead of other islands. I find it odd the ranking towards LBGTIQ+ is hostile.

  • Havana

Iโ€™ve been to 14 countries across 4 continents and travelled most of the US and I must say Havana is probably the most incredible city I have ever been to but is probably better suited for a vacation than for nomading. Itโ€™s not difficult to find wifi as most airbnbs and restaurants have it but itโ€™s not reliable if you have important video conferencing calls or need to constantly stream something. Since most industries are publicly owned by the government, thereโ€™s a deep lack of commerci

  • Cape Town

I've been in Cape Town a month. The good: it's gorgeous, great hiking and scenery, wide variety of restaurants at affordable prices, lots of great cheap wine, walkable neighborhoods. The bones are there to make this an awesome place to live, and Cape Town knows it and has good nomad infrastructure (wi-fi, coworkings, etc.). That said, if you're looking to discover Africa, this ain't it. A lot of Cape Town's issues feel very American: inner-city homelessness, gentrification, yawning racial and so

  • Antigua

Lived in Antigua for over a year and I absolutely loved it! Itยดs called the city of eternal spring because the weather is like a perfect spring day all year round. There are two seasons, rainy and non-rainy but in rainy season (May-Oct) it only rains for 3-4 hours in the afternoon then stops. It makes everything lush and green which is another reason they call it the city of perpetual roses and eternal spring. Itยดs a small city so very easily to walk and see everything. If you escape the cente
