Best co-working spaces in Berlin?

in Berlin, Germany by @magalhini | 5yr  | 10 comments

Hi there!
Iโ€™m about to finally make a move from London to Berlin and Iโ€™ll be staying around Kreuzberg/Neukรถlln. Iโ€™ve noticed a great selection of co-working spaces around there, which is great! But most of them donโ€™t actually give too many details on what they can offer and what the environment is like.

Any personal recommendations from you Berliners out there? Which ones get the busiest? Any particular ones to avoid? Ideally Iโ€™d find a floating desk with a great community around; I love socialising around co-working spaces so that would be a big plus

Most of them also seem to open at 9am only, I couldnโ€™t find any so far that would be open before. Suggestions?

Thanks! I hope to see some of you around Berlin starting from August

Thanks again peeps! Iโ€™m keen on trying out Wieserland, since its location is convenientโ€ฆ but co.up seems to be pretty impressive as well!

I mostly worked from coffeeshops.
Betahaus was one of my most favored places. It has also an actual co-working space. But you can also just hang around in the coffee shop without signing up.
A lot of people work from St. Oberholz. But I did not enjoy the atmosphere. It is also expensive for a coffeeshop.

I spent two months working out of Betahaus a few years ago (itโ€™s on the list that @levelsio linked to).

Everyone there was very friendly and there was alway a desk available. They also had a cafe on the bottom floor that was nice.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! @levelsio awesome collection in Nomad List, love the fact that youโ€™re including shared desks there too.

So far the biggest struggle has been finding some that open up at least at 8am, so Iโ€™ll probably go for a proper co-working space that runs 24hโ€ฆ but there doesnโ€™t seem to be any near Kreuzberg. Ilโ€™l keep looking and update my findings

These guys seem pretty cool: http://www.mitosiscoworking.org/

Although Iโ€™m still waiting to hear from them about their opening hours.
Cheers guys!

I am a big fan of Co.Up at Kottbusser Tor (central Kreuzberg), who also provide space to plenty of meetups and user groups. In particular the ppl there are almost only freelance and remote devs and designers โ€“ so, unlike many other cowos in Berlin, it is quite enough to work there.

I donโ€™t know about any cowo in Berlin that is really open before 9am, but as co.up is a very tightly nit community, they also offer to give you a key and then you can work whenever you like โ€“ I know quite a few people coming to work at 7 pm and staying late at night for e.g. .

Iโ€™m using mobilesuite in Prenzlauer Berg. Itโ€™s some distance from Kreuzberg, but itโ€™s working out well for me. I signed up for a monthly membership and have unlimited 24/7 access (extra fee) and unlimited beverages (also an extra fee). Theyโ€™ve got a well lit space, plenty of seating options and great internet. Itโ€™s an option if you end up over in this part of the city (which is great).

Visited raumstation in Moabit, the price was decent and there was plenty of desk room. The people seemed nice. Worth a look if youโ€™re in that area.

Has anyone created a list of co-living spaces around the world?

by @keegansard | 4mo 4 months ago | 4 comments

Iโ€™m a big believer in co-living but Iโ€™m finding hard to find all the options available in different cities.

I have found the major players like Roam, The Collective, and WeLive but havenโ€™t found many others.

Has anyone seen a list or should I start making one?

Co-working space in Shanghai WITHOUT monthly payment

in Shanghai, China by @katrin | 1yr 1 year ago | 0 comments

Daily/hourly pass needed.
Canโ€™t work in normal cafรฉ because having clientโ€™s laptop for security reasons, canโ€™t use open networks. Working for R&D. Also laptop is so huge it doesnโ€™t fit normal cafe environment because itโ€™s far from discreet.

Do you have other coworking spaces there you would recommend?

And where is a good place to stay (i.e. coliving)?

Recommendation for English Speaking GP in Berlin?

Hello! I am looking for an English speaking GP in Berlin who can write a prescription for schedule 1 medication. Currently I am in Northern Ireland who have a very complicated medical system, which is not Digital Nomad friendly! I would like to make an appointment with a GP who can help me ASAP. Thanks!

Would any of you lovely people have any recommendations?

My requirements are:

  • wifi
  • available weekday evenings (we usually do 6-9pm)
  • big screen or wall for projector (we will have our projector if needed)

Thanks!

Which coworking spaces are open 24/7?

by @yako | 2yr 2 years ago | 13 comments

Does anyone know of any coworking space open 24hs somewhere around the world? Sometimes because of my line of work I need to be awake when everyone is sleeping on the country I am in (but I know I am not the only one!). It would be amazing to share that time at a coworking space with others who like to work at night or who have to be awake. Does anyone know of any coworking space open 24hs somewhere in the world?

Search/review site for Co-Working spaces around the world?

by @gnefkow | 4yr 3 years ago | 7 comments

Hostelworld for hostels,
Nomadlist for general locations,
Yelp for food (among other things)
Trip Advisor for activitiesโ€ฆ

Is there a website where a community of people can rate and review co-working spaces around the world? Iโ€™m in a nice place right now, and about to start on toward the next destination, Iโ€™d love to review the coworking space Iโ€™m currently sitting in and start planning for the next stop.

I know that there are some threads around here about it, but Iโ€™d love to search โ€œTaipeiโ€ and see a list of them with reviews from actual nomads (rather than the hap-hazard websites the coworking spaces make about themselves).

Are you satisfied with the co-working space environment in Budapest / Hungary?

in Budapest, Hungary by @zoltanradics | 4yr 4 years ago | 4 comments

We are a group of freelancers working from home in Budapest and we are thinking about to open our own co-working space in the city. From freelancers to freelancers. Not in the hearth of the city (out of noise) but 10 minutes from the centre on the main tramline. (No. 4-6.) Friendly mood, 24/7 open, only environmental friendly solutions, good coffee, healthy food, sandwiches, snacks and beverages, proper price. Opinions?!

Any co-working/working space in Mexico?

in Mexico by @zanqu | 4yr 4 years ago | 6 comments

Hi all,
I was reviewing posts from last year about certain cities in Mexico (PV, PDC), so Iโ€™m hoping to expand a little. It also appears that there were struggles with internet speed. I will require fast/reliable internet to work - webinars (GTM), demos, software testing, etc.

Best cities/location:

  1. Co-working/working
  2. If no co-working spaces, Airbnb suggestions with reliable internet
  3. Any improvement in internet speeds youโ€™ve noticed since last year (where ever you were)?

Any other suggestions are welcome.
