I would love to hear what you'd like me to build next on Nomad List, or any other product/feature feedback ideas you have.
It's been 6+ years now but I'm in this for the long term and with the boost remote work got last year it's even more exciting to work on Nomad List than ever.
Current roadmap is here: twitter.com/levelsio/status/1363204985488572417?s=20 and pbs.twimg.com/media/EusS9PKXEAUR8xp?format=jpg&name=4096x4096
The next products/features I have planned:
- 🛂 Rebase: visa, residency and immigration services for remote workers
- 🎓Courses: learn the steps how to go remote and travel/relocate
- 🏛 Gov liaison: diplomacy services to the governments to help us lobby for nomads and for them to attract remote workers
Thanks a lot!
What are the best places right now in the Caribbean/LatAM? (Also cheapest flights/accommodation?) Asking from the US.
As part of signing up for this website I was hoping I would come across a list of Visa and/or Residency requirements by country ideally in a table format to assist with decision making. Does anybody recommend any other websites that might present the information in this format (or Google Spreadsheet)?
I love living in walkable areas of town. I can always find them. But now I'm wondering where in the world are the most walkable places? I'm imagining walk streets (no cars), zoning allowing both business and residential, parks or beaches ,etc.
After the Netherlands, the Bay Area, Colorado and being on the van life for 8 months, I am now in Sedona, AZ with a few other digital nomads. We are sharing a home here and are wondering if there are more like minded people in the area.
We do a bunch of hikes and campouts in the northern of Arizona. If you would like to connect with us, please do so :)
Hi everybody. I live and work in Germany and want to go to Canary Islands for 6 months to work from there. I'm going to keep my current job, just change the "home" in the home office part of things. Are there any tax issues I have to be aware of? I was reading about becoming a residence after 183 days, thus having to pay taxes there plus my employer having to register there. Does anybody know how it works exactly? Thanks a lot!
Winter is coming and I’m feeling the ache of travelling after being stuck in the same place since the Pandemic started. Wondering if anyone is travelling right now? If so, where are you currently located and how is the situation where you are?
Hello, we are US citizens that have been able to stay in Italy past our standard visa stay due to covid. Now we must leave. We want to drive to Croatia as our “out of EU” stay. But I’m now wondering what considerations I need to take care of for my visa. I won’t go through an airport and get my passport stamped. But I assume I need to get my passport stamped as a way to prove I’m out of the EU.
Anyone else travel in and out of Schengen zone via car? Or know what I should do to properly handle the visa situation? I get unclear answers online. Hmm.
Appreciate your help!
We are in Umbria until August 31. We've been here since March, but crisis-level visa extensions are over. After that we have to leave the EU. We would like to stay out of the USA (our home) due to it's covid crisis, at the same time we want to be responsible about travel. Ideally we would not travel at all, rather stay hidden in the countryside of Umbria forever until covid is more under control globally, but here we are!
So we must leave the Schengen zone. We should avoid USA. We should avoid long air travel.
We were thinking Croatia.
Do you recommend a route to Croatia? We are open to long train rides. Ideally not long ferry rides. Is there a ferry route under 4 hours? I read about it...I don't see it. If not, the other option is to make our way north and up over to Croatia via train.
I'd appreciate your thoughts and insights!
Currently in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and heading to Santa Teressa, Costa Rica next week.
Then Aruba in the Caribbean Sea for Christmas and New Year.
However I feel I want to head back to Central America to bring living costs down, rather than staying in the Caribbean Sea among the expensive Islands.
This means I have around 2 - 2,5 month of unplanned travelling.
Any digital nomads who have ideas about where to head in that timeframe?
Hi all, need some help with schengen fuzziness… I’m a US citizen.
Does any know if the 90 day rule applies inside of Croatia. I’m seeing that Croatia isn’t part of schengen but adopts the same visa aquis. This isn’t clear to me.
If someone has a definitive answer please let me know as I’m approaching the 90 day rule in my travel plans and I want to hit Croatia and not have it count.
Thanks in advance.
I’m thinking of spending August-October in Europe; Berlin was a strong contender, but I’m hearing good stuff about Zagreb. Anyone have any experiences (good or bad) to share?
I have been interested in traveling to the balkans for a while, and the cities I’ve been delving most into are Ljubljana, Zagreb, Split, and Sarajevo (also Prague and Budapest). I’m interested in hearing about these places from anyone who has travelled there, especially to multiple of the cities, or to any other place in the region.
In particular, I’m interested in pros and cons of the cities vis-a-vis each other, and interested in tidbits about the vibe of the cities, the culture of the people, and any other first-hand things that are hard to pick up by reading (I already know the sizes of the cities, that they each have beautiful architecture, that Split has the beach, etc. ). How youthful do the cities feel? How walkable are they? How friendly are the locals? How likely would a 26 year old digital nomad be to meet his bride there ;)? What are the biggest unique things that stand out about each place?
I’ve chatted to a few of you on the threads these past few days, and now I want to meet you all!
How about next Wednesday 23rd Sept? I’m happy to arrange it and was thinking To Je To would be a good place. Let me know if another date would be better.
Who’s in? If we can get more than 10 I might be able to make it an official Nomad List meet up.
