Hi guys!
Know Mexico City?
We are here for 4 more nights. We want to get a good feel for how it would be to live here as nomads.
What neighborhoods should we check out? What cafés should we peep? What peeps should we meet?
Haha, thanks so much!

Hi guys!
If you’ve been to Puerto Escondido, Mazunte, Zipolite, etc, please share your experience with the internet there.
What speeds did you get up/down? Where?
How solid and consistent was the connection?
How common are blackouts and loss of power?
Any other tips, favorite places to work, etc?
Which towns have decent internet?

Thanks so much!
Hi! I’m still struggling to figure out how to handle health insurance.
What handy guides have you found to help figure out USA health care?
I’m struggling with:
Above all, I think I want out. I wonder about success stories in moving to some other system/location, and the method you’d recommend: additional citizenship, a special visa, etc.
I have searched this topic and struggled with it, so summaries and clarity are super helpful. I appreciate any and all help with this. Thanks so much!
Hi guys! Who plays video games?
What system do you use? How does it work for you?
I work on a MacBook Pro, and of course Mac isn’t great for gaming. I’m thinking of traveling with a (relatively) small eGPU to crank up the graphics. There might be decent PC laptops, but I want with macOS.
Hey guys!
We love Mexico. We’re excited to find outstanding towns to live in for 2-12 months at a time. We’re also open to Central American gems.
We especially appreciate learning about those smaller towns that are lesser known but amazing. Personal favorites!
Here are some of our interests:
Here are lesser-discussed towns that caught our eye — we’d love impressions of these and more that come to mind:
Thanks so much, guys!
Hi dear nomad comrades,
I’m curious about your favorite cities/towns/areas south of the USA!
We are hearing nice general things about Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama, but we’d love to know what drew you to your nomad spot, and why you loved it. Thanks so much!
I’ve enjoyed a set that has a laptop-friendly little backpack that attaches to the main carry-on sized rolling suitcase. (It fell apart and it’s time for a new one, haha.) I suppose the key criteria are light sleekness and durability.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts/advice/links, guys!
I was thinking about packing today and I’m curious: what’s the weirdest thing you guys have in your bags? Nomads are, by nature, minimalists, but I’m sure we all do it differently. I have a friend who travels with BASE jumping gear, another a sequin dress. So, what’s the most unusual thing in your bag?
Mine is probably that I travel with a dog.
Hi all,
I am trying to identify digital nomad hubs in each continent focusing mainly on the amount of digital nomads out there. I mean places which you can actually connect to nomads, regardless of cost of life and other factors. Also, what do you consider as the digital nomad locations which will be the next hubs?
That’s what I have currently, would you add a city, or remove one you find irrelevant?
European Hubs- Berlin, Prauge, Budapest, Barcelona
Asian Hubs- Chiang Mai, Ho Chi Minh, Ubud, Canggu, Bangkok, Davao
Latin American Hubs- Medellin, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Playa del Carmen
USA Hubs- Austin, Portland, San Diego, Boulder
Location which are becoming regional Hubs- Krakow, Lisbon, Taipei
Hidden Recommended Locations- Sofia, Plovdiv, Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj Napoca, Zagreb, Split, Thessaloniki, Yerevan, Tbilisi, Malta, Haifa, Galway, Phuket, Tenerife, Ljublijana
Best Value Locations- Lviv, Kiev, Odessa, Moscow, Saint Peterburg, Minsk
Top Level Hubs- Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, London, Munich, New York, San Francisco

Hi All,
My question is about banking when it comes to being overseas/working etc. How do you avoid getting charged large fees by your bank when withdrawing overseas?
I’m originally from Australia and do my banking still in Australia. I live in the UK and most recently was living in Vietnam where I found I had to withdrawl money just to get charged very large amounts from my Aussie bank.
How do you get around this? What can you recommend.
Thanks
I worked out a few times a week back home, but haven’t been able to figure out how to make it a part of my routine now that I’m living out of my backpack in hostels. I’ve always gone to gyms, but I’d be open to trying bodyweight exercises. I thought that I might be able to do bodyweight exercises in parks/etc, but the past few days in London have been wet and miserable and I can’t find the motivation to go do push ups in wet grass. Any advice?
This is an algorithmic recommendation based on @azurio's trips history to find places they haven't been to yet that other people with similar travels as them also went and liked.
Lisbon is the next remote work hub of Europe. There's many reasons why I think that: 1) it already has somewhat of a startup/tech scene because of the annual Web Summit conference 2) which means internet is fast, and there's lots of meetups and it's easy to make friends 3) it's relatively affordable for foreigners compared to Spain and the rest of Europe 4) Portuguese people are super friendly, a lot more friendly than in the rest of the Mediterranean and Europe 5) Lisbon is ideal to go on day/w

After having traveled the previous 4 months in India, Cambodia, VietNam, Myanmar and Thailand, Singapore was so easy! The subway system is a marvel, streets signs were easy to read, everyone speaks English (that just makes it easy for me as an English speaker) it is safe, clean, and parks are gorgeous. I was there as COVID 19 was breaking out fairly fast and that put a damper on my time but I was so happy to be there anyway and plan to go back. For digital

It is still great and you can find really cheap apartments (300-400$) and restaurants (2-3$ for a main). Wouldn't recommend staying there during the burning season. The best area is Nimman, but it's also the most expensive. You can stay in the old city that's very nice but that gets noisy during the weekend for the night markets. Last but not least, very safe city. All in all would go back in a heartbeat.

I really wanted to enjoy it, but unfortunately it turned out to be one of my least favourite cities. Perhaps it was just me, but there was an overwhelming sense of distrust and dislike towards foreigners, you have to try pretty hard to blend in if you want to experience the life of a local & avoid the tourism. I met some wonderful people and and there’s some cool communities to be part of, but another extended stay

Internet: 36 EUR/month get me 450/40 mbps (cable -> DOCSIS 3.0) Public transport is 2.70 EUR/ticket. No woman I know has said they felt unsafe. Some really odd, xenophobic sounding comments on here. The city has a problem with British stag parties, so if you look like you're a British male and speak English expect to be treated with disdain (it's fair enough) The Hungarians can just generally be unfriendly, especially bartenders.
