GDL is great for a short trip. But, it's only March 10, and already it's getting hot. I can't imagine the heat in May or Summer. All in all, it's a great place to visit for a week or two. There's lots to do and see. But, after staying here for a month, I'm ready to move on.

Stayed for 5 days in Tulum in March 2023, here are a few things to consider. -The Pros are: there a ton of very solid accommodations for ~$50 per night on a short term basis (1BR apartment, pool, etc.). You can get it down even further with a longer term commitment. It feels like there is a growing nomad community, but it's more of NYC/LA types than down to earth vagabonds. It's a safe area of Mexico, and also even the people who try to sell you crap, 'vendors' is less aggressive here. I have done about 2.5 months total in PV (two separate trips). Airbnbs are plentiful near the centro and december 5, more expensive in the romantic zone and even more expensive in Sayulita. Spent the month of September here and it was nice for the first 2 weeks. There are a lot of young people due to the multiple universities and you smell weed everywhere!!!
