I must be alone on this one; but I did 2 weeks in CDMX and it wasn't great for me. First of all, it was CHILLY in the mornings and at night (late August - Early Sept). And to stay in the nicer and convenient neighborhoods, which you kind of have to in CDMX or you will be bothered, the airbnbs were pricey, and nearby restaurants too. Sidewalks very small and cramped. The vendors and police were a bit aggressive here. The nightlife was a bit dull to me, limited to just a few places. The green park

The good: Great surfing, great food (and pretty cheap), amazing vibe, good nightlife, overall nice lifestyle. The bad: - Wifi... it's terrible. The only place I've found with good wifi is Selina Coworkingโ€”it's a must. - Accommodation is actually fairly expensive for what you get in return.

Putrajaya is the only place I would recommend due to its close proximity to the airport. The Shaftsbury Hotel is modern with two convenience stores, pharmacy, restaurants, dental, and more in the actual building. There is a rain fountain in "mall" of the building that would be Putrajaya's attempt at Singapore's airport one. The location is also literally right across from the bigger mall that has restaurants, international grocery store, movie theater, bowling, electronics, etc. It's a safe a

One of the most horrendous cities I've ever been to. Too much traffic, ugly architecture and even the food is very much hit and miss. Oh and housing is not that cheap. People can range from very friendly to very much not caring but on average, they're neither unfriendly nor easy to connect with, even if you speak good Spanish. More than anything, from someone used to the lively vibe in Colombia or Mexico, the place is as lively as a cemetery. No music, not even a peep at night... There's a reaso

Been living here in Buenos Aires for almost three years. Right now, it's (relatively) cheap. I mean, it isn't for the people who currently lives here but it's if you're a foreign, as the inflation keeps going on the peso isn't that worthy now. But, as I'm saying, if you come with dollars is going to make a huge difference. (3 years ago: 20 pesos= 1 USD. June 2020: 95 pesos= 1 USD. and if you're selling dollars in the informal market they will pay you $124. and with that you can buy two small

Oaxaca is one of a kind. It's a gorgeous city, incredible culture and the best mexican food around. It's cheap, clean, walkable and has quick wifi. I fell in love with this city. In my opinion, it has a Chiang Mai vibe except smaller and cleaner.

Family and church are the main criteria for fitting in. Northerners - Yankees - are still regarded askance. Explosive college population arrives each fall, Tybee is expensive and crowded in summer. Great eateries. Good music scene. Pros: -Great airport for connections to Africa and South America. -Has some really beautiful views. -Great fruit and fish. -Native Portuguese people are generally friendly and helpful. -Wonderful moderate climate (better than Spain) Cons: -The dirtiest major city I've seen in Europe. Filthy buildings and dog crap everywhere. -Unsafe - most other women I spoke to said they feel unsafe walking alone here (being leered at, whistled at and followed by the mostly immigrant men is a common occurrenc

Split is a very pleasant town. You have Roman ruins, clear Adriatic waters, ferries to Hvar and other islands. Places to stay are affordable, food is medium priced. English is pretty commonly spoken. You can explore the town in about two days, but it seems a very pleasant place to live (Iโ€™ve been here 2 weeks & plan to stay for 2 months).

I'm currently in Marrakesh and been here for a month. I would definitely recommend visiting but not during summer as it can get really hot. My first day here it was 42 degrees and really dry. It has gotten better so I would say visit around August or later. Marrakesh is lovely but very touristy and I can only imagine how things were pre-pandemic. Since it is very touristy, locals are more lenient when it comes to what you choose to wear which helps a lot when it's really hot. Obviously, you stil
