Bangkok has some of the best private hospitals in the world. Which is interesting if you're in Asia a lot and you want medical care better than you can get in your home country. Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok is ranked #7 in the world. I did an executive health checkup there and it was great. Prices range from $250 to $750 depending on how many checks you want. You can get blood count, X Ray, ultrasound, hormone check, etc. They also have most other medical disciplines. I also got vaccinations renewed. The hospital is private so it's so much better than the overloaded public healthcare systems of Europe, Canada and UK where everyone tries to avoid helping you, is overworked and angry. In Bangkok they're super nice and helpful and you can make appointments straight with a specialist. Not blocked by a GP like in your home country.

I live in Rio and unfortunately it's not a good place to be a nomad. Most people don't speak English. Most places don't have WiFi. We can't depend on WiFi and 4g anywhere. They don't work well. It's not safe to walk at night. It's not safe to work in public spaces. The city is very big and transportation is terrible. Besides it's too hot most of the year and its polluted.

Although London isn't an ideal 'digital nomad' city due to the cost, it is very much made for working, networking and having a great time while you do it. Rent is silly expensive, but you can find a room in a shared house for around ยฃ500-600 per month. One review on here complains about bad food, unsafe and bad banking - sounds like they had a bad time to be honest. I disagree strongly with all those negatives. Food is awesome, with lots of incredible places to eat and reasonable (ish) prices. Head to Brixton, Brick Lane, Hackney/Dalston, Tooting etc for top quality food. For your banking, you'll find Revolut, Monzo, Starling etc all allow you to get set up in a few days. Oh and safety.... I've lived here for 7 years (on and off) and been drunk in 'dodgy' parts of town and can say London is one of the safest cities anywhere. Can't say the same for Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona etc.

  • Cardiff

Cardiff is a lovely and friendly place filled with plenty of shopping areas, plenty of cuisines all over the city whatever your pallet may be and is not too expensive shall you go to the right places, my favourites being YO! sushi which I loved to go with my partner (the furukaki fries now named yo fries are to die for) but while here there are a lot of things you must do; buy welsh cakes and get yourself a coffee or tea they are delicious little flat cakes sold all over the city for cheap usually cheaper in bulk. I saw 10 for 3 pounds in many flavours, raisins, chocolate, cinnamon, lemon the list goes on. next you need to go to Cardiff castle (it can be pricey) during normal session it costs 13 pound a person but during popular events like football it is often free to visit and climb the castle which is what I did during a football game in the millennium stadium and yes it does get crowded when these games are on but the good thing being in the city the roads close so people can walk on the roads making it easier to not get stepped on. while here you need to try a nice pub at least one time while I cant remember the name there is a lovely cocktail bar/pub that does 2 for 1 cocktails for 7 pound (my favourite being buffalo soldier (which is rum, ginger beer and apple juice with lime added and its delicious). when you are here make sure you check out the welsh gift shops and get a few souvenirs here, the amount of highly detailed and shiny dragon statues you can buy are insane so if you like castles, medieval literature and dragons (and sheep) make sure you come to Cardiff for a break from London.
