I must be alone on this one; but I did 2 weeks in CDMX and it wasn't great for me. First of all, it was CHILLY in the mornings and at night (late August - Early Sept). And to stay in the nicer and convenient neighborhoods, which you kind of have to in CDMX or you will be bothered, the airbnbs were pricey, and nearby restaurants too. Sidewalks very small and cramped. The vendors and police were a bit aggressive here. The nightlife was a bit dull to me, limited to just a few places. The green park

Oaxaca is one of a kind. It's a gorgeous city, incredible culture and the best mexican food around. It's cheap, clean, walkable and has quick wifi. I fell in love with this city. In my opinion, it has a Chiang Mai vibe except smaller and cleaner.

I stayed there for about 3 weeks, cheapest beach town I've been in Mexico. Wifi like most people said it already is awful! i can't stress this enough, it's almost nonexistent. The town itself is pretty chill, nice restaurants and beaches, but for nomads not a great place.

  • Sayulita

Small area/beach, claustrophobic. I think enough to do entertainment wise. Just expensive due the mass amounts of CA residents/expats/business owners, wifi is also weak unless you are at a top place like Sayulita Hotel. Surf break is essentially one peak and crowded, the locals don't really share it. One week tops here.
