  • San Juan

San Juan is amazing. Tons of beautiful views and restaurants everywhere. If you like Latin America, you'll like San Juan. It is more expensive than other LatAm hubs, but it has better infrastructure and is safer. There are many different vibes you can get on the island. Old San Juan is like Europe but more colorful. Condado is closer to Miami but with a better beach. There is the only rainforest in America just 20 minutes away, not to mention all the other beautiful parts of the island. I wo

  • Munich

I've lived in Munich for six months during my Erasmus internship. It is a great place to live generally, offering high quality of life, and it would hands down be the best city to live in Germany if: -It wasn't expensive af, especially rent prices -It wasn't almost impossible to find a place to rent (like literally the only way to find is through acquaintances) -Bavaria was less bureaucratic and more tech-progressive -It had more... young people; much of the youth there is because of the two of

A top city. Everything works, beautiful greenery (hehe), cycling everywhere, happy people, great nightlife... Lots to love about. For nomads? Not a chance. Price of housing is outrageous, and the city is expensive af. They charge you 4.5-5 eur for a capuccino, completely shameless. An hour of public transport is 3 euros. I could go on and on. I'd love to live there, but it's not worth it.

Lived there last September and October and am coming back later this year. Yes, it is expensive, but after a while I learned about affordable places to eat and realized I could choose neighborhoods farther from city center, and it would still be nice. City feels super safe, even at nigh! Internet is crazy fast (I got 500mb on my airbnb) there are tons to do and see and I did not encounter the super rude Parisians people talk so much about, mostly everyone spoke English and were very polite. Stayed for 2 weeks after almost a year n a half in LatAm. Beautiful city; great food options- especially for Asian food lovers. Plenty of authentic Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese options for about 50% of what you would pay in a Western city. Decent hostels will cost $11-$15 weekdays and between $18-$30 on weekends.... Good internet; beautiful architecture and people but it is true Hungarians can be very cold at times. Overall a good stay with many destinations just a quick and cheap flight/tr

I lived there for 3 years... If you wanna work, you'll really struggle. Sometimes the WiFi would be down for like 5 days. If you need to download heavy files you probably wont be able to, WiFi will fall before you can wait the 4 hours it would take. You can rely on your Telcel, but not even that one was working all the time. Don't believe the hype! I ended up moving out.

I'd avoid Toronto. Weather is miserable for 4-5 months a year. Nightlife is average. Taxes are high. Every conversation with someone from here devolves into how expensive it is (and honestly, it's not particularily expensive... compared to other large english speaking cities). Transit isn't great. City doesn't feel particularily well planned. If you want to live in a cold city, then go to Montreal or Berlin.

I really enjoyed my first week here, but as I got to know more locals and heard their stories, I was disturbed at the security situation. Almost everyone I met has horror stories about being robbed at gunpoint, robbed by the police, and in one case even drugged and robbed by a taxi driver. It's not even safe to walk a short distance at night (locals told me to just take Uber). Beyond the security issues, scams also abound, and the covid policy is wacky, with hand sanitizer being forced on you ev
