What's the best digital nomad backpack?

by @levelsio |  | 93 comments

I hear stuff about Tortuga and Minaal, although Iโ€™m myself using a fake Chinese one I bought here in Bali.

What do you currently have and whatโ€™s the best?

2017 UPDATE: I made a gear page now:

Did you feel "lost" transitioning to nomadism?

by @levelsio |  | 38 comments

I was wondering if any of you have had this while on the road.

The whole transition from normal life to nomadism and moving around different places has been super fun but also super intense. Itโ€™s also why I built #nomads, to remove those feelings a bit

From times Iโ€™ve felt super amazing and then super lost.

How has it been for you to shift from normal life to your nomad life?

What laptop/tablet do you prefer for remote working?

by @roberthopman |  | 29 comments

Hi,

as Iโ€™m looking into buying a new laptop/tablet, Iโ€™m wondering what everybody is using here for work and why?

Mentioning your profession or business, location, travel activities or anything related to this will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Robert

Where can I donate my extra things while traveling?

by @livvyjeffs |  | 2 comments

I wasnโ€™t exactly expecting to be in Thailand - so I have a winter coat, a few books, and more clothes than I need to travel.

I want to donate or give these things away while I am in Bangkok.

I figure if there is anyone in Bangkok traveling to a chilly place - I have a winter coat for you!

And I figure I can give my books to some hostels - any recommendations?

Bali is amazing, but Canggu isn't really that great -- actually there are SO MANY better places, like Uluwatu, Gili Islands or even Ubud that I can't understand the hype. As almost everyone said below, beaches are crappy, roads are terrible, sidewalks are non-existent and having a motorbike is a must. On the other side, food is great and cafes are pretty reasonable with all those incredible bowls. Anyway I wouldn't recommend it for more than a week.

Way too touristy and a bit more expensive than other parts of Bali. Dont really want to come here again. The only thing I liked was the coworking space I used during that time. Everything else was a bit boring.

They say you get what you pay for. After having traveled the previous 4 months in India, Cambodia, VietNam, Myanmar and Thailand, Singapore was so easy! The subway system is a marvel, streets signs were easy to read, everyone speaks English (that just makes it easy for me as an English speaker) it is safe, clean, and parks are gorgeous. I was there as COVID 19 was breaking out fairly fast and that put a damper on my time but I was so happy to be there anyway and plan to go back. For digital
