In it's current iteration, Houston is a wide-spread, vehicle dependent city and would be a difficult place to exist as a Nomad without a vehicle. Downtown Houston was once a desolate cluster of office buildings that was abandoned at sundown. I lived in Brno for 6 months and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's a small city with nothing to do for expats. There are a few cafés and some nice bars but nothing really special plus. I really don't mean to be rude but Czech people are no fun. It's just...boring and dull. Generally speaking people here, even millennials, don't speak English. Been living here for few months and absolutely love it. Chosen to live near the sea and can go on walks on the beach when fancy it as well as enjoying a - small - but animated city center from time to time. If you search a little you can find restaurant Jems and go very easily to some cute places around such as Howth, Malahide and others. The downs : cost of living and fluctuating weather but at least you see the sun once in a while !

I don't know exactly how Barcelona is still considered safe but it's far from it. It's probably the most dangerous city to live in Madrid and one of the most dangerous in europe, with constant pick-pocketing and even violent crimes to get your wallet and phone in certain areas. All in, Austin is a good city. We live in Hill Country now so we're a bit removed. But it's beautiful area once you get away from the highways. A good tech scene. Not too expensive (~$2100 for a nice 2 bedroom apt) for the U.S. Has wineries and breweries galore. Not a great place if you are a recovering alcoholic (!). Cons: extremely hot in the summer; reaches 110 F (43.3 C) in summer afternoons from June - September. Not very diverse. Highways are loud and obnoxious.

Love Edinburgh. A very historic place that's just generally lovely to enjoy! It's actually not as Scottish as Glasgow. There is a huge English population, as well as many other cultures. A lovely city to spends hours walking around.

I find it difficult to understand what people see in this city. The cost to benefit ratio is just so terribly bad! This is by far the most expensive city in Europe (especially in terms of rent), with hardly anything to offer in comparision with other cities like Barcelona, Lisbon or Warsaw. Tokyo has so much to offer and so much to do. It is easily overwhelming. Whereas I usually take my first week to explore a place Tokyo’s sights just kept on going. Stayed here for a month. It reminds me of a less-developed Bangkok. Although there are a lot of high-rise buildings being built at the moment.
