Iโm interested in finding a country which would easily offer a 1 or 2 year visa for an American tech worker, has good health care and housing.

Hi everyone,
I would love to hear what you'd like me to build next on Nomad List, or any other product/feature feedback ideas you have.
It's been 6+ years now but I'm in this for the long term and with the boost remote work got last year it's even more exciting to work on Nomad List than ever.
Current roadmap is here: twitter.com/levelsio/status/1363204985488572417?s=20 and pbs.twimg.com/media/EusS9PKXEAUR8xp?format=jpg&name=4096x4096
The next products/features I have planned:
- ๐ Rebase: visa, residency and immigration services for remote workers
- ๐Courses: learn the steps how to go remote and travel/relocate
- ๐ Gov liaison: diplomacy services to the governments to help us lobby for nomads and for them to attract remote workers
Thanks a lot!
What are the best places right now in the Caribbean/LatAM? (Also cheapest flights/accommodation?) Asking from the US.
As part of signing up for this website I was hoping I would come across a list of Visa and/or Residency requirements by country ideally in a table format to assist with decision making. Does anybody recommend any other websites that might present the information in this format (or Google Spreadsheet)?
I love living in walkable areas of town. I can always find them. But now I'm wondering where in the world are the most walkable places? I'm imagining walk streets (no cars), zoning allowing both business and residential, parks or beaches ,etc.
Hi guys,
After the Netherlands, the Bay Area, Colorado and being on the van life for 8 months, I am now in Sedona, AZ with a few other digital nomads. We are sharing a home here and are wondering if there are more like minded people in the area.
We do a bunch of hikes and campouts in the northern of Arizona. If you would like to connect with us, please do so :)

Has anyone figured out a way to get setup with a virtual number and internet connection anywhere you go?
Hi everybody. I live and work in Germany and want to go to Canary Islands for 6 months to work from there. I'm going to keep my current job, just change the "home" in the home office part of things. Are there any tax issues I have to be aware of? I was reading about becoming a residence after 183 days, thus having to pay taxes there plus my employer having to register there. Does anybody know how it works exactly? Thanks a lot!
Winter is coming and Iโm feeling the ache of travelling after being stuck in the same place since the Pandemic started. Wondering if anyone is travelling right now? If so, where are you currently located and how is the situation where you are?
Hi, my name is Eric and I am a remote worker from Norway. Me and a friend is flying into Gran Canaria on Friday and spending two weeks in San Agustin on the south side of the Island.
After that we are pondering about staying in La Gomera. Does anyone of you have an experience staying there or are there anyone of you staying there now? :)
Hello, everyone!
My idea is to stay as low as 6 months and as long as a year (maybe, who knows) over Lisbon after doing some analysis from many cities in Europe.
I'm an Argentinian and Chilean (both nationalities) so... no Euro-pass for me (getting my Italian nationality could take 2 years easily). I'm also a remote worker and I have a really good income (I work for a Silicon Valley company) so I can show more than enough resources to stay in the country.
Everything I see online doesn't inspire me much confidence (most sites looks a bit scammy) and this is not a "vacation stay"... I want to be clear my head far away from Argentina right now. If someone has a good website, recommendations, etc I will super appreciate.
Thanks in advance!
Hey everyone,
We are nomad couple looking for some house we can stay for year or more.
Are there any known good places, like new villages with modern houses or something like this that we can check? Or any place you can recommend to look for a good (for European) house for rent?
Thx in advance for your help!
Hey guys!
Doing some travel planning for when my boyfriend and I have to be out of the Schengen in the spring. Iโm looking at Dubrovnik and Mostar. Weโll probably get to both of them, but was wondering - for those who have been - which one would you recommend basing in longer-term?
Some context on us: we love food and the outdoors. Both of us are cyclists (and should have folding bikes with us by then) and enjoy hiking/walking. Great views are a must. And neither of us are bar or party people, so the night scene isnโt a factor for us. Quiet places are great and I love small towns.
Keep in mind that this will be March/April/maybe May next year, so not high tourist season. I donโt mind if things are generally bustling, but I hate super crowded touristy spots (for example: I love Rome in winter and hate it in summer).
If anyone has insight, would love to hear it!
Im planning to go to Koh Samui at the end of April for a month. Does anyone know good areas where to live there and have good internet connection (maybe close to coworking space). Or also after reading some info here in nomadforum - some people say its better to go to Koh Lanta. Any thoughts about that?
Cheers
Hello,
Iโm planning to fly to Mexico mid October for 1 month. Iโm working on my laptop (like many others I guess) so I need a reliable wifi connection.
My budget is about $1500/month.
I was looking at Playa Del Carmen and renting a flat through Airbnb is not too expensive since I get a major discount for staying a month.
I donโt really care about nightlife. I want a place with good vibes and I want a place near the ocean or with nature around me.
Does anyone have any thoughts about Playa Del Carmen? and Maybe suggestions of other place in Mexico?
Thank you!
Hi guys,
From this spring onwards Iโm returning to Europe and Iโm looking to either set up a home base in Lisbon or Barcelona. Any fellow nomads who can share their experiences of living in either of those cities?
Iโve only been to Barcelona and I like the vibe a lot. Major downside is the tourists (obviously).
To me it seems that both cities have good infrastructure, internet, climate (mediterranean), nightlife, culture, food, beaches (and Lisbon is good for surfing as well of course). Price wise, Lisbon is obviously a bit cheaper.
One important consideration is the public transport. Since Iโm not looking to rent a car I prefer the city where I can travel on foot, bike or metro.
Based on my limited info, itโs hard to pick one. Any advice would be very much appreciated!
In Colombia, I have heard people telling me that once you have a work visa you can enter and not care about what happen if you get fired.
Unlike the USA where if you lose your job, you are *****ed.
Is it a possibility to get a job, get in, open a bank account(not sure if thatโs a good idea since itโs not going to receive a consistent flow of cash from a Colombian company), then quit and work as a freelance remote.
Iโve been travelling through some major cities in eastern europe and now Iโm looking to get somewhere a bit more quiet where I can settle for a few weeks, focus and get some work done.
I really enjoy nature and hiking, so it would be great if those come as part of the package.
It would be nice if there are some english speaking people around to meet, but you canโt have everything.
I plan on making my way down the croatian coast (starting from slovenia) at some point in the next couple of months, though right now I imagine itโs extremely busy and relatively expensive. Or are there any spots that could be worth checking out now?
Iโm considering Kotor too.
Thanks in advance
My girlfriend and I are looking to find a place to stay in the USA for a few months this winter.
What are our options for finding a reliable place to stay for when we arrive?
I tried AirBNB, but got stopped at the verification stage, as I donโt have social media accounts (what a stupid requirement).
Craigslist has places, but I know that this is just asking to be scammed by doing it online.
VRBO seems expensive compared to AirBNB, but I suppose itโs an option. Does anyone have experience with it?
Is there anything else Iโm missing here?
