Very little English spoken. Population 295000. Very Very Hilly. It is a cruise port but tourists can be rare in the city because of the hills. The Internet is good, People are overall friendly. 1 bedroom rent in some locations can range from $550 to $800. Lots of nice small beaches. Rainey in winter looks like it never snows. Food is not as diverse as I would like. Trains can get you to Portugal for as little as $7. Water is cold year round. |

On the Camino. Place we stayed in was running over 1 gig speed. Food was fantastic and long-term rent looked cheap (One bedroom under $700 US. Very walkable and likable. It is cold in the winter and as of late can be very hot on August (40 C or 100F) AC is almost non-existent. Very nice people |

NOT Medellin a different city nearby.. Safer and Cleaner. Almost no one speaks English. Food is good, keep in mind most airbnbs pay minimum for internet so 50meg is about it. $3 cab ride to Pablado in Medellin. You have to go to Viva Mall (Yeah I know but it will be worth it) Cheaper and safer than Pablado |

Very exclusive and expensive during the in-season, out of season many things are closed. Stay near the traffic circle off the point, it will save you money, you have a 5 min walk to the beautiful beach and are close to some groceries. |

Great Safe City in the Most expensive Country in South America. The Internet was good and lots of restaurants. Many people speak English. If you start to feel like you are in a bad neighborhood you are right, get a cab out of there. Do your research before you go. There are 2 Ibis Hotels that are a safe place to start. |

Potable Water and an advanced city with lots of food options. Lots of places to stay. We stayed at Dix Hotel across from Vally Language School. $36 a night with free breakfast, super clean and has a doorman and security on weekends.) Prostitution is legal in Colombia so be prepared to see them leaving in the morning or out at night.. It is a safe place in Pablado (which can get rough after 8pm) DO NOT wear jewelry and watches be aware of your surrounding just like you would be in Atlanta or LA. ALL the really good restaurants are walkable. Spanish, Korean BBQ, Super Fine Dining etc. A lunch or dinner can run you from $2 to $200 |

Great for tourism, bad for living. The City has a fascinating contrast of old and new. You will never get bored, itโs easy to meet people and have fun. Infrastructure and food are great. Thai people are friendly and welcoming, even when it not always feels genuine. With that said, itโs not a good city for long term living. Itโs too hot and humid. Feltย air temperature is between 37ยฐC-45ยฐC almost year round during the day. Itโs makes all outdoor activity unpleasant. Getting your daily d

Once you figure out housing (not an easy thing but doable, especially once you stop looking in the touristic areas), Lisbon is a very charming, safe (even though I'll admit this is getting worse in certain areas), and fun city to live in. In most neighbourhoods you have the feeling of living in a small town instead of an urban area. There's aways something to do or see so it's hard to be bored living here. I still find Lisbon (and Portugal in general), to be one of the most attractive places in

BA is the safest city in the world, just after Tijuana and Caracas! But if you ask the local Porteรฑos, they'll assure you Argentina is THE BEST around the globe, whatever the matter in discussion. :-D With all the slums, poverty and ignorant population, a true 3rd world country, made of rude people, they didn't need to be so ridiculously arrogant. ๐

I stayed here for 6 months and I absolutely love Mexico City. The life is comfortable if you stay in the bubbles, namely Roma Norte, Condesa and Polanco, but the living cost has increased 30% since last year, due to the inflation and skyrocketing mexican pesos. Mexican people are so friendly and I never had any safety issues. Definitely will be back in the future.

Pros: Weather is great and apartments are excellent. Cons: City is dirty including the beaches. Locals are extremely hostile, unfriendly and confrontational. There isn't a huge amount of good things to do in the city - most things are mediocre. People constantly bash into you in the street. Food and coffee is very average. Crime is awful - my apartment was broken into and my suitcase got stolen from the baggage belt at the airport. Air quality is terrible.

Stayed for 2 weeks after almost a year n a half in LatAm. Beautiful city; great food options- especially for Asian food lovers. Plenty of authentic Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese options for about 50% of what you would pay in a Western city. Decent hostels will cost $11-$15 weekdays and between $18-$30 on weekends.... Good internet; beautiful architecture and people but it is true Hungarians can be very cold at times. Overall a good stay with many destinations just a quick and cheap flight/tr

It used to be a nice city for nomads, but its out-priced now and don't recommend it. I am a single female- remote worker from USA with residence permit of 2 years and have to say its not what it used to be. Stormy tropical weather as we speak so unpredictable these days. Landlords charging ridiculous prices and amenities just don't match quality that should be given. Looking into Spain as we speak..

I absolutely love Istanbul! My biggest recommendation would be to stay in Cihangir or Niลantaลฤฑ and avoid the main centre. Cihangir has so many beautiful cafes to work from and there are a lot of people working remotely so it's a really nice vibe. I agree with the comments about taxis, we just caught ubers but mostly walked everywhere which I would recommend. If you stay in Cihangir you can easily walk to Taxim square and through Galata. The food scene here is great once you know where to go
