I've stayed in different places in Portugal, but finally decided to spend more time in Portimao. The community is amazing and rapidly growing. There are regular meetups and many groups for activities like padel, surfing, skating, etc. The beaches in Praia da Rocha and Alvor are fabulous. And the town has all the services you need. It's also well connected by direct bus with Lisbon and Sevilla. Portimao is definitely a great place to live and work from!

Also, the food is amazing all around Caparica with a lot of options. Really looking forward to go back and spend more time in Caparica with the amazing communit

It is the safest for female travellers, the police detains every man that verbally or fiscally abuses a woman. Prices go from 20€ a night to over 200€, that is why there are real successful digital nomads here, no "Tramps" with laptops. If you avoid the city centre and Puerto Banus

It's definitely a gem, with not so many distractions and perfect to get the work done. Coimbra has all the qualities of Portugal cities such as food, wine, safety, cultural events etc, everything quite low-cost oriented, specially accomodation -- you can find really good deals way cheaper than Lisbon or Porto.
