The food here is excellent. Bolivians call it food capital of the country. Food is also cheap. Not a lot of variety, but it's good, and they care. Otherwise, a nice city. But not a place for nomads as far as I can tell. Nobody speaks English

La Paz and Bolivia in general is a very interesting place to visit! The city is fairly cold all year around, and so is the hotels and restaurants… basically make sure to bring warm clothes. The city is messy, ugly and unorganized, but the city have a character! The surroundings of the nature and environment around is amazing, beautiful mountains and such. When getting a SIM card it is 3G and LTE. I never found Wi-Fi reaching 10 Mbps (At the Selina Hostel where I stayed). Prices here doesn�

I spent two months in Arequipa and loved most of it! Lovely people and a lot of nature around. The beautiful Colca Canyon is near, where you can also see the Andean Condor or book multiple-day hiking tours. It is close to Puno which you should visit as well and it's easy to go to Cusco from here, to see the famous Macchu Picchu. I spent 4 months working here during summertime. It's one of the best summers I have ever had in my life. The city is just amazing and offers dozens of outdoor activities. There are so many different places such as parks, lakes, hills, mountains, beaches, etc. Also, you can feel the Californication vibe on every step. I lived in Hollywood and I would avoid this place at any cost. It's just too overrated and won't meet your expectations. Hollywood (esp. West Hollywood) is a big pile of dirtiness

Just to echo the last two reviews - these stats are super misleading. This year I've worked out of a number of different towns and cities in Mexico, Central & South America, and Medellin by far had the best internet. I was also a woman traveling alone and not once did I feel in danger, just don't go out clubbing alone or something insane that would make you a target in any city. I rented a car and roadtripped what was basically a 5 hour radius around Medellin and the roads were great, I'd rank t

I've moved here permanently. Kids are in an elite school for $600pm, and I'm the only non-Colombian parent. I'm surprised there aren't more foreigners. Going to Gringo Tuesdays is a very touristy thing, I only ever went once everyone is 25 and trying to get laid basically, and its P$11,000 a beer, my local pub sells beer for $P2,000 by comparison. The longer you are here the more you discover. The "centre" of the city is really from 83rd-93rd-115th roughly, 83rd has loads of great clubs and rest

I stayed in Poblenou, which is a really chill upcoming area outside of the tourism of Barcelona. Really enjoyed it. Very tranquil. People were relatively friendly compared to most in Europe and there was lots of nice food and coffee places. Also pretty okay gyms. Really enjoyed Barcelona this time! Just make sure you stay outside the tourist areas.

This city is incredible. Now I understand why Parisians look down on other cities. It is endless. Museums, history, cool bars, incredible food, diversity, beautiful people nicely dressed... It helps a lot to speak French. It's expensive. I'd love to nomad here for a month or two. I really liked Marais as an area.

A top city. Everything works, beautiful greenery (hehe), cycling everywhere, happy people, great nightlife... Lots to love about. For nomads? Not a chance. Price of housing is outrageous, and the city is expensive af. They charge you 4.5-5 eur for a capuccino, completely shameless. An hour of public transport is 3 euros. I could go on and on. I'd love to live there, but it's not worth it.
