INTERNET----------------------------- Medellin is a larger city, with a solid fiber internet (often 200 mb+) and reliable electricity. Latency is low with fiber. Best internet Ive had so far in Latin/South America. AREAS TO STAY-------------------------- The two main areas, Poblado and Laurales, for expats and tourists make the area for walks and sights considerbly smaller, than you can exect from a 3 million US / EU city. You can venture outside those two areas, mainly at daytime (eg Botero

Not my favourite place, but it has some positive qualities. If you want American comforts like Walmart, Costco, Sam's Club and live abroad, this is a good spot. You can also shop from both Amazon US and MX; there are many US/Canadian people here. It's a very comfortable place to be in many ways. For many people, it's a great first digital nomad spot as many things are catered to tourists, making it easier for nomads. There are a lot of great, cheap gyms for every activity you can think of. I spent a month here. I think it's a livable city but I don't know the value of living here long-term compared to other cities in LatAm. Pros: - Great bar and restaurant scene. Coffee shops are really chill. Service is really good for the most part, but everyone is too cool to be friendly (hipsters). - It doesn't feel too unsafe, especially if you're not out late at night. It's no worse than any US coastal city. Maybe even safer. (came from Chicago, definitely safer than Chicago) - There are so
