I am here right now from the US for almost 6 months. The "international" upscale part of the city, ie Roma, Condesa, Polanco, is absolutely gorgeous, but it is rising in price FAST - a private room in a coworking hostel has gone from $1000 to $1500 in the past year in Roma Norte... When you venture outside of these bubble neighborhoods, you quickly realize that it is still a developing country, so you need to be okay with that. Fun, nice people from all over the world, and Mexicans are SUPER w

There is a reason why 95% of expats are male.... If you want low cost of living, pretty girls, decent climate and cheap parties Medellin is the place to be, however the people that say Medellin is amazing is usually guys because of the pretty girls, Medellin isnt a pretty city at all, not overly alot to do in the city itself, nothing special

Just arrived in KL, we are 30/35yrs+, a married couple and digital nomads, and wow.. What a city! This is the New York City of Asia. These appartments are epic. Grand views, very affordable, luxurious! You would pay 10-fold for the same deal in NYC or Tokyo or Dubai. And the food is fantastic. Indian, Malay, Indo, Chinese, American, European. The world is here!

Just returned to Europe from spending three weeks in Canggu and I can definitely not recommend it. It has changed a lot from the past but to sum it up here are some points: Pros: - high level of convenience - lots of places to eat (for vegans too) - plenty to do Cons - hygiene is bad - crowded as fuck - polluted as hell (air quality is bad) Wouldn't recommend coming here for longer. If you're physically active, CM is paradise 9 months out the year. Like many, I live here, but fly to Phuket from Mid Feb to Mid May to escape the burning season. The rest of the year, the weather is fine: about 1h of strong rain a day from May to September, then September to December is awesome with cold air in the morning and evenings, and just right warm during the day. Tokyo has so much to offer and so much to do. It is easily overwhelming. Whereas I usually take my first week to explore a place Tokyoโs sights just kept on going. I remember ending up in a hidden cocktail bar, a mexican rooftop party with 1 meter margaritas, spending a whole day going only to French places(?), visiting a store that only imported 2nd hand hiphop apparel, and throughout it all the best michelin star ramen. It just seemed endless, completely unrelated and incredibly fun. Six wee

I've been in Phuket for about a month now. Most of that time I've spent in Ka Ron and Kata beach area, but also have been to Chalong, Pa Tong, Rawai, and Kathu. Karon and Kata beaches are my favorite. Beaches are beautiful, especially Karon. Overall most everything is reasonably priced, but not the bargain I was told it is. I eventually found a hotel I like, where I pay 12-13 euro per night (below 500 baht atm) and that is by far the lowest I found for the quality I expect. Considering the loc

Still an amazing island, with very diverse adctivities, but prices have gone up massively lately due to an influx of European war 'refugees' and the recent growth of the digital nomad scene. If you book in advance, you can still find something affordable but it is rapidly changing and prices are in general very un-Thai like.

I've been in Las Palmas for two months (November and December). The climate was amazing, I could swim at Canteras Beach nearly every day. Yes, and there is a big digital nomad scene or community. On the other hand, residents are (at least in my opinion) not too friendly. Havana is great for a vacation, not for remote work. One of the best thing here is the atmosphere - it means people, music, fun, nightlife. BUT the situation with food is very complicated, is hard to find literally anything, there are queues everywhere. The internet is expensive (2.5 GB of LTE for 8 dollars) and very unstable. If you don't need so much internet to your work and if you are patient enough, you can enjoy Havana as it is really interesting and unique city.

I visited the galapagos on vacation (no work) and it was wonderful. Do not expect to work out there, really there is no usable wifi. I was able to do 14 days on about 1500USD as a single traveler staying in guesthouses, taking a few tours and doing alot of self guided stuff. Highly suggest just going out there without a group package as you'll save some money and have a better experience.

Unfortunately this was supposed to be the best economy in LATAM but what I found instead was a very over priced for what you get experience. It's a safe area of Mexico, and also even the people who try to sell you crap, 'vendors' is less aggressive here. I have done about 2.5 months total in PV (two separate trips). I spent 7 days there. It's a little town for beach, surf and party. However, in the place "SELINA", you have a good environment to work, in front of the beach. The coworking space there isn't good, but the coffee inside the same "building" is very cool. I would recommend you to stay here 3 or 4 days, after that it's a bit boring. It's quiet in the week day, so better you manage to schedule to be there at least one friday or saturday, if you like partying.
